Hotel Xauen

The Hotel's location and views are its best features, the two-bed room was comfortable despite its tiny size, and the cleanliness was adequate, The hotel was comfortable and clean. The buffet had a lot of variety and the food was very tasty!

The truth is, our getaway to this hotel was an absolute success. We went as a couple, and both the hotel's spa and the dinner and breakfast were perfect—10/10. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff were a delight to interact with, always super friendly and helpful. This is a highly recommended hotel, and we will definitely return without hesitation on our next visit to Montanejos.

Terrible, terrible hotel. We stayed here as part of a 7 day self guided bike tour. So I didn’t pick it. I haven’t seen such a grim property since I back packed in Greece in the 80’s. Grim rooms Grim breakfast. Tired, cheap food. Young lady working had a face like thunder Terrible service When we were leaving they refused to store our cases. They were collected each day and taken to the next hotel. They said they had no room and had no idea about them being collected. I had to get pretty stroppy before a manager came and agreed to store them in their office. They acted like they were doing us a massive favour

We have stayed in Montanejos at least once each year since 2007, using two other hotels. This time, we were attracted by a better price at Xauen and were pleased we tried it: it will be our first choice in future. The rooms, which I guess are recently refurbished, are rather small although well equipped. Standard size double bed. Bathroom also compact but with a great shower. Spacious terrace with great views of the river valley and hills beyond. A very positive feature is the bar with full length windows overlooking the river: friendly service and good drinks prices. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as the menu did not look very exciting, but there are plenty of alternatives within 5 min. walk. We easily found free street parking within less than 100m each time it was needed (it would be more difficult in the summer season or at weekends).

Estancia muy agradable , tuvimos una habitación doble que para tres personas era más que suficiente.Un desayuno correcto y una cena a la carta .La chica de recepción es muy simpática y la del spa también .Lo que echamos de menos fue un balcon , pero por lo demás estaba todo bien .

Estancia de fin de semana con con amigos en media pensión. La comida "especial" del domingo fue cara y mal cocinada. Los platos principales no se correspondían con el precio que se nos cobró. Se dio la circunstancia de que algún comensal tuvo en algún plato la mitad de comida que otro. Otro plato, cordero a baja temperatura, estaba tan a baja temperatura que lo sirvieron congelado. Cuando se les pidió que lo descongelaran lo sirvieron con cantidades distintas y menores a las iniciales. Creemos que no tenían suficiente materia prima para todos, y que el cocinero titular estaba de fin de semana. Un profesional no puede servir nunca eso. Por lo que respecta a las habitaciones del hotel, eran normales, limpias y cómodas. El personal correcto y amable
