This hotel does not provide any hospitality, service is below zero. When entering the hotel and paying the bill immediately, we had to pay an additional 100 euro’s, we were forced to do so cause we had no credit card. We are a non-smoking couple 64 and 66, lot’s of travel experience but this was the first time we met this. Under protest we paid the additional money, we had no other choice. There was no proper explanation other than ‘the boss tells us so to do’. Agreement was we would get the money back next day. However… at checking out, we did NOT get our money back. We got the message, that refund was ‘waiting for approvement’. Approvement?? Why? And by whom? And under what conditions? We felt like being scammed by this hotel. Further more: breakfast inconvenient, insufficient bread, croissants underbaked, little choices. Elevator not working, it’s a worn-out hotel. Carpet smells musty. I do not blame the personnel. They have to do what is told them. I I may give any future travelers one advice: avoid this hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel almost once every year for many years and it has a constant quality. But it is noted that the price of the rooms have gone up disproportional through those years too. The room was nice and clean with the standard IBIS lay-out and good working WiFi There was safe overnight storage for my bicycle Breakfast was so so with a limited choice of not so tasty food. Don't understand why IBIS decided to ask € 15,- for breakfast on top of the not so cheap room. Maybe better get breakfast on the square opposite the railway station next door

The location if this Ibis is hard to beat. It is directly across the street from the main train station of Mons and an enjoyable 10-15 minute walk to the beautiful platz where restaurants/cafés abound. The Wi-Fi enabled rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the showers hot. Next to the lobby is a nice sitting area where one can relax at the end of the day with a decent selection of beers as well as some wine. I did not eat at the restaurant for anything other than breakfast which was included in the price of the room but that is not always the case. I believe the charge is 12€ if paid for separately. The spread in the mornings is very sufficient. There are crepes, fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt, grains, eggs, sausage, meats, cheeses, and bread. The staff is also very accommodating. Parking is generally available along the street (no issues with crime) but also gated parking is accessible behind the hotel for a small fee. All in all this hotel offers a very comfortable and affordable stay.

Just in front of the train station and next to a main bus transfer point, it was well located. It's also an easy walk to the Saint Waudru collegiate church and the City Hall. Inside, reception and check-in was painless and the staff very friendly. There's a small well-stocked bar and the cafe. I requested the breakfast included with my room and there was a nice selection of European style breads, cheeses, cereal, etc. Also, scrambled eggs, beans, and small wurst. Best part was the orange juicer where I could "squeeze" my own fresh juice. Rooms were clean and quiet with fresh white sheets. Parking was an additional 9 Euro but the lot is fenced in and I believe under camera surveillance. Check-out was quick and easy. The only "complaint" I have is no fault of the hotel. There was a lot of road construction which when added to all the one-way streets made the hotel a challenge to get to when following the GPS. Once we figured our way around it wasn't a problem.

The room is large, quiet and very clean. The best part though by far,is the front desk staff! Kevin at the desk helped me with various reservations. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He even helped translate with some of my reservations when I was having difficulties. Such great service! It was much appreciated. Located directly across from train and bus station

On a cycling tour of Belgium and France, I booked Ibis hotels and emailed each in advance to make sure they could accommodate the bikes. Ibis Mons came back straight away telling me that we were fine to take the bikes in the rooms and on arrival we were blown away by the welcome from the duty manager. He couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Anyone can build a hotel, but not everyone can staff one with people who actually care. Recommended.

Location could be better, business hotel used by coach parties. Welcome was good, and our room was a standard IBIS room, nothing special. We asked for extra pillow which was provided really quickly. There is no food when coach parties there but you can get an Italian meal delivered. They probably need to get more staff when coach parties in, but it was really the location that was disappointing. Directly opposite station, so good for connections but it is a little run down at the moment. Breakfast was a well prepared continental buffet.

Our experience at the Ibis Hotel in Mons was our worst experience the entire time in Belgium. The man at the counter was rude, unhelpful and angry when we asked for help. We booked 3 rooms and they only had two of them available. So when we asked about the missing room the man working at the desk was completely rude and unhelpful.
