Royal Grand Hotel

Another even better stay! As mentioned this was our second stay in as many years. Staff friendliness, attention and welcoming has gotten even better than a very satisfying last trip. From being picked up at Robertsfield (airport) to being dropped off there, everthing worked out perfectly! Room (suite) was perfectly cleaned daily by an excellent housekeeping crew. Location is fantastic as anyone we wanted to meet showed up there at one point! Bilal does an excellent job in making sure that everything is up and running…leading by example! My home in Monrovia!

Very nice experience, delicious foods, comfortable rooms and wonderful service！ Much appreciations to Mr Bilal for the careness to our team！ The pizza is really nice, repeated order serveral times. Hope they can increase the options of soup.

Did not stay at the hotel but ate at Cafe Royal twice. Brought the family here for breakfast twice during our family trip to Monrovia. Were there during the breakfast/brunch time and you could either order from the menu or take advantage of the buffet. Our kids were a little tired of the traditional Liberian food we had been having for breakfast and were happy for the American style breakfast and options. The pancakes and omelets were good. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and there was plenty of seating for both small and larger groups. The service was a little slow on both times we were there but it did not bother us that much as we were on vacation. Overall it was a really good expereince and I would definitely recommend. We also picked up some coffee, donuts and juice drinks from the Donut Bar (also inside the hotel). Nice selection of options and the staff was very friendly.

Our group of 17 travelers decided to try the Royal Cafe with lunch buffet. Besides Lebanese dishes, the offerings included lemon chicken, Kafka au- four, kormer, fried rice,and more mains The delicious hummus must be house made and they had several salads. Desserts included a dry yellow cake, pancakes with pistachio cream. One of our group wanted an apple and reached for table decor that turned out to be plastic. OTIS brought us 2 apples. Great job! We informed the manager ALOYSIOUS and he seemed pleaseof Wheel chair access men's and women's restrooms both offer an accessible 5ft x5 ft space in central area. --The Donut Bar in the Royal Grand Hotel offers a sandwich bar with big sandwiches and a pastry and coffee section. I couldn't decide between all desserts and ended up with a decent chocolate cake. They also sell Selé Liberian chocolate bars in milk to various levels of dark chocolate. I bought a new version 99.9% which means essentially sugar free. Very strong and not sweet which is what I want. RAYMOND provided excellent friendly service with a smile. Note that prices are in USDollars. Seating available in standard tables and chairs menus are posted and legible. Pastries are marked by small signs. The service was exceptional and staff very professional. Bilal in particular went out of his way to ensure we had what we needed. He made extra accommodations for our team . The Royal Grand hotel is a good place to stay when in Monrovia for business.

I spent two weeks at the Royal Grand Hotel on a very intense business trip, where all meetings were held in their conference room. As such, we had breakfast, lunch and most dinners at the hotel. In a nutshell, the food and more importantly the service are outstanding! The Managing Director Wael Hariz has created an environment where everyone from the front desk to the waiters to the cleaning ladies offer service that parallels any Ritz Carlton. While they offer a hearty breakfast and lunch buffet, you need only ask chefs Ali or Mahmoud to prepare a special dish and they are happy to indulge. The espresso and macchiato rival any barista in the US. The roof top restaurant offers tasty Sushi and Vietnamese food accompanied by reasonably priced Spanish wine. The bedrooms are spacious with lots of natural light and the beds comfortable, though nothing to write home about. The guy to know is Bilal at the front desk. He’s the can do man. Ask him for a restaurant recommendation or a reliable pharmacy and he’ll give you the best advice. Overall, there might be nicer hotels with better views but hands down the best service in town.
