The Riverside Hotel

這價格還行吧，就是房間有點小

The Riverside Hotel sits beside a fast flowing noisy road. There are no pleasant external areas. It has a conservatory and small lounge area, neither of which you would want to sit in. It’s, tired, worn, chipped and dusty. There were strings of wires in the bedroom, a plug socket set that was sticky, a broken chair; which was replaced by some thing that looked as though it had had a previous life in the deep recess of a garage. Breakfast was fair but limited and came at an additional cost. At £230 for two nights accommodation for two people, I would not recommend it as value for money. I’ve since discovered Monmouth offers so much more.

My room was simply furnished, but perfectly fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent! Good place to stop, while walking the Offa's Dyke Path - and has the advantage of being the right side of town to start the walk to Pandy the next morning.

After reading some of the reviews on here we were a bit apprehensive but I think we must have stayed in a different hotel -our room was spotless loverly and warm the bathroom was small but again spotless- great bar and lounge area and the staff were brilliant and so friendly,definitely worth the money —Steve Halbert

Avoid at all costs all night horrible rattle on machine attached to building went on all night mattress bumpy and springs in your back botel room still dirty fan was thick with dust and light fittings had to go and sleep in van at half 3 in morning absolute joke of a place

Room basic but clean. Mattress awful, could feel every spring and hard edging around it. The staff were friendly but we couldn't help notice that the barman had a dirty tshirt on and wore it the next day too! Good atmosphere in the bar though..
