Neptune Beach Resort - All Inclusive

In May this year, my partner and I had an extremely disappointing and humiliating experience at Neptune Hotels & Spa in Mombasa. After a day trip to Wasini Island, we returned in proper dinner attire and tried to enter via the beachside. Security stopped us, could not communicate in English, and eventually called reception. Instead of welcoming us, we were interrogated about where we came from, what we wanted, and even how much money we had. When asked about our nationalities, I explained I am an African-American from the USA, while my partner is Dutch and white—though at that moment, I only mentioned my own. We were then denied entry and forced to walk more than half an hour around the hotel in dinner clothing, on muddy, flooded roads, while very hungry. Once at the reception, we were told we could not enter without a booking, and when we suggested dining instead, we were dismissed—told lunch was over and dinner would not be available for two more hours. In Africa, at a hotel owned by an Indian operator, such behavior is unacceptable. As a journalist, I also learned from locals that staff fear management, which only raises further concerns about the culture within this establishment. The experience was degrading, discriminatory, and completely unprofessional. Neptune Hotels & Spa treated us in a way no guest should ever be treated. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values respect, hospitality, or basic human decency.

This is a fantastic hotel. I really cannot find any faults for the 2 weeks that we stayed for. The pool guy Danson looked after us like we were his family. He is such a credit to the hotel and I hope the hotel can reward him for outstanding service. Kalimbo the gardener brought us fresh coconuts and prepared them for us to drink. Thank you kalimbo. Gibson at the bar made sure we were properly hydrated without us having to leave the sun lounger. Thank you Gibson. For my partner’s birthday they even made a special cake for her and sang happy birthday. She was so happy so thank you. We also got up early to watch the monkeys a couple of times and they are so cute and funny. This was a holiday that was so good we plan to come back again.

Exquisite beach views with breathtaking ambience, not to mention a perfect sunset experience.i would love to pay a visit again.

Neptune beach resort is actually one of the best hotels we have stayed in . From arrival till leaving it was a dream stay … I have. Never met such amazing staff ll Caleb at reception is the most helpful and caring staff member that went above and beyond to make mine and my grandpas stay comfortable…….grandpa took poorly and Caleb always made sure the doctor was called , Caleb would always be first on hand if he seen grandpa struggling with his mobility offering a wheelchair to use . through this hotel the staff where the friendliest there is . the rooms where throughly cleaned and comfortable, the food was lovely plenty of choice and plenty of it no faults …. Nothing is ever to much for the staff . The swimming pool was large and nice there where towels and sun loungers always available . entertainment team were great . A few steps to the most dreamiest of beaches …… I will be returning !! The staff make this hotel amazing.

Our family of 6 chose Neptune for our beach stay in Diani and we had a fantastic time. We stayed in Paradise section and it was perfect. Our favorites included the pool swim up bar, ping pong and pool table, and the dining area. The Paradise resort was quiet, peaceful, and not crowded and the perfect place to unwind relaxing by the pool while enjoying the beautiful weather and views. As guests at Paradise, we had full access to the other Neptune resorts and participated in aqua exercises, and evening entertainment that were at other resorts. The beach area is what you'd expect in Diani. One of the best beaches worldwide with perfectly soft white sand. There's an area nearby where locals sell curios etc. You will be solicited for boat tours, bracelets, etc on the beach. A firm no thank you is enough if you're not interested. The resort doesn't have a gym but there's a nice path overlooking the ocean and trails that will suffice for jogging. A big thank you to the staff who made our stay unforgettable, Hope and Jacqueline with the entertainment team, Suleiman in the restaurant, Stanley at Paradise bar, and staff at the pool bar. A special thanks to the Paradise restaurant manager who went out of his way to connect me with the chef for the secret recipe to the best grilled lamb ever. Asante sana for an excellent beach vacation in Diani.

This resort offers amazing comfort and impeccable service! Everything from the size and condition of the rooms and the overall resort did not disappoint. The selection and taste of food served in the buffet was amazing and offered a variety even for the fussy consumer. Hats off to the fantastic Staff at this resort! Made my trip to Mombasa!
