Kenya Bay Beach Hotel

Bear in mind it’s a three star hotel. Staff work really hard here, and always a smile on their faces. Not too sure if they get breaks on their 8 hour shifts. There are many quick wins for this hotel to improve its standards: 1. Rooms - make them all consistent. Provide kettles in all of them. Ensure that housekeeping quality checks the rooms before they are given out to guests. The bathrooms needs a refresh and the grouting a thorough clean. 2. Sunbeds - towels need replacing - very worn out. Some guests will reserve sunbeds and not turn up until lunchtime. Mattresses, because if the humidity, also need a good scrub. 3. WiFi - shockingly intermittent. Not good at all. Log onto the restaurant WiFi when you can. 4. Food - AI have the option of choosing made to order from the online menu. It does take time however you are on holiday. Bring some seasoning for the buffet if you are used to spicy food. It does get slightly monotonous. Half board have afternoon tea included. Tea/coffee included all day for everyone. 5. Location - centrally located for town. Airport transfer takes 45mins. Hotel is on the beach.

Very poor service, ordered chips and a pizza and took 1hr 30mins to arrive. Wi-fi is terrrible and the pool is always green and mostly broken around it. Air conditioning in rooms often stops working every 2 days. But staff are very nice but the food is quite poor

We had a wonderful stay at Kenya Bay Beach Hotel. The location is perfect, and easy access to the beach with stunning view of the ocean . The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. Every Evening was very entertaining with different cultural dances. The food was with a variety of options to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing beach vacation.
