Phi Hotel Canalgrande

It is a very well-located hotel, right in the "heart" of Modena. It's in the ZTL zone, not to worry, the staff were very vigilant & assisted with the ZTL coupon which was valid for the stay. The hotel is a bit "old", so don't expect much, however, the rooms are nicely furnished. Mattresses are firm to my liking and there is enough toiletries. Breakfast was sumptuous! A delicious spread & of high quality. Note as the hotel is a bit old, don't expect top grade elevators - they are narrow, and the rooms a bit "hollow". Opens up to the balcony with excellent "minor" view of the basilica. However, sound travels and you can hear the next door neighbour if they speak loudly or slam the door. Parking, however, is a nightmare, as expected of this very narrow town. No fault of the hotel itself. You can find parking nearby, may have to walk 5-6 mins. The excellent English speaking Reception/Check In Staff will assist with that & all my questions were answered.

服務：服務超級熱情友好，會幫忙停車拿行李 設施：整體比較老舅，電梯很小， 環境：房間很安靜，早上吃早餐的時候花園很大！很漂亮！

L'hotel è veramente bello,ubicato in pieno centro ,la camera era una standard per due, semplice ma con tutti i comfort,la colazione era ottima.

Terrible experience the hotel is not clean and needs to be renovated . The lights were flickering when we asked for maintenance they arrived and informed us there was nothing they could do because there was faulty wiring in the walls , there was trash left outside our door for two days, the glass covering for the lights above the bath vanity were missing , the window curtains were torn and hanging down the toilet didn’t flush properly and the street noise kept us up .

Truly one of the worst hotels that i have ever stayed at when we arrived there was no one to help with our luggage, we went up to our room and there was a pile of trash outside our room in the hall which was there for two days until i showed photos to the person at the front desk, one of the wall lights next to the bed was flickering off and on and when we asked them to fix it the maintenance person said that he couldn’t because it was caused by faulty wiring behind the wall, the glass that covers the lightbulbs over the bathroom mirror was missing and i took pictures, the curtains on the windows were torn and hanging down, the button to flush the toilet kept malfunctioning , and the street noise at night made sleeping almost impossible .

Hotel with soul. Staff with warm approuch and kind assistence and 5- star service. Terace with buitiful garden as iconic place for coffee. Rich heritage as building is old palace renovated for maximum comfort to stay. In city center and walking distance to all turist attractions. All RECOMENDATIONS!

Beautiful historic building a short walk to shopping and restaurants. A large space downstairs with a lovely vaulted ceiling doubles as a breakfast area in the morning and a bar in the evening. Use the elevator to get there (floor -1). Breakfast has a nice variety of options including lots of fruit, scrambled eggs, croissants, and cappuccinos (no decaf unfortunately). In the evening, I suggest taking your bar drinks outdoors to the patio/garden which is lovely and peaceful. This is a restrained traffic area so driving to hotel is a little tricky. They will send directions. I suggest reserving a parking spot in their garage ahead of time. There is virtually no street parking available other then 2 spaces reserved for temporary drop off/pick up. The valet were excellent at bringing our car out of the garage at a time we requested. We would definitely stay there again.

A classic and beautiful Italian hotel. The staff was very friendly, and we had a beautiful view from our room over the courtyard. The hotel is within walking distance to the Center Market. I love Italian markets. We took the hotel-arranged Balsamic tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. We loved the small town feel or Modena!
