Hotel Cervetta 5

We were in Modena for two nights at this hotel. The lobby smells very nice upon entry. There are many small decorating items in the lobby and in the rooms. Must be a nightmare to dust all these little decorative touches. We had two rooms one double and single. The rooms were very small. The bathrooms are tiny. Everything was clean, the linens, the towels. Hotel is well located. We would stay there again.

We came in and could hardly breathe because of the strong incense smell. For a moment I just wanted to leave. But staff was very welcoming and we continued the check in process. Then we were told there is no elevator and we were two levels up. They offered to take up our bags. We had to take them up on it. The room was clean with a minimalist decor. The bathroom had no place for the toilet paper roll. We had to use the bidet to put the toilet paper. Interesting place place, centrally located. But not for senior travelers.

Perfect hotel for central Modena everything was in walking distance. Rooms are clean if more basic than we are used to but for our stay was perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, they sorted our airport transfers, made excellent recommendations for dinner and explained how to get to the various locations we were trying to find. Breakfast was ok and plenty of it. We’re used to having water, tea coffee facilities in the room. But you had to go to reception if you wanted a drink. If we go back to Modena would stay here without hesitation.

Perfectly located in the center of Modena and with a secure parking next door (which is a luxury in town). Very cozy and super clean small hotel. Beds and linen are of good quality. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. They provided detailed information on how to reach the hotel as there were some road works in the town center. The hotel was recently renovated and they chose a minimalistic decoration which we appreciate. As we use to say…. “Sometimes less is more” It totally deserves 4 ⭐️. The only hiccup was the shower which didn’t have enough pressure. Otherwise everything was okay and we had a good sleep. We were lucky not to have noisy neighbors during the night; the walls are not soundproof.

Clean, quiet, comfortable room in the heart of Modena. It is in an older building and the office staff made it very clear from the time of booking and though our arrival process that there were no elevators, only stairs, to the rooms. They also provided detailed instructions for our arrival route to the hotel, as many of the streets were closed for maintenance when we arrived. We added on the breakfast each morning and it was delicious and served with a smile by woman who worked there. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, and even stored some cheeses for us that needed to be refrigerated. At checkout, they provided them to us without being asked! Very attentive team.

While we were a bit apprehensive about booking at a place in the old town due to the lack of updated amenities, this place blew us away. Minimal luxury, Old world boutique mixed with plenty of Hipster art and decor all through the property. A refreshing vibe mixed with the charm of an old world setting. Great place to spend a night in the old town! LOCATION: unbeatable location one block from Piazza Grande DINE + DRINK: We didnt dine or drink(except for the excellent espressos at the front desk) so cannot comment on that. But the place is a stone's throw away from the Mercado (market) where you can get excellent local food! ROOM: We stayed on the 3rd floor, so this review is based on that; Do note that there are no elevators so you have to carry all your luggages and walk up the stairs. VIEW: sweet view of the street ; SIZE: Very spacious room with bedroom area and living area; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: decent cosmetics from a regional brand. FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to LUCIA at the front desk, who helped us out with a lot of tips about the city! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Small Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment, and interestingly a lot of options in ENGLISH which is a rarity in these parts!
