We just returned from our vacation. The hotel has great potential, but it is quite dated. We were initially given a room above the grill, and the smell from all the cooking was very strong. However, they accommodated us and moved us to a new room, which was fantastic. We had a small terrace with direct access to the pool, and we also appreciated that they gave us a room with one large double bed instead of two separate ones. The daily cleaning service was excellent – the floors were mopped, the bathroom was cleaned, and fresh towels were provided every day. One major issue is that the hotel offers only one restaurant for Czech guests on the ground floor, while another restaurant is exclusively reserved for Italian guests. This was very surprising and, frankly, quite insulting. We felt like second-class citizens. The wine selection was also disappointing. The wine, apparently from Ukraine, was very poor in quality – the white wine, in particular, was undrinkable. Another downside was the evening entertainment. Every night, they played Czech songs – Helena Vondráčková, Chinaski, and Wohnout. Honestly, I don’t go on vacation to Oman to listen to Czech music; it felt quite unsophisticated. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and the beach and sea were beautiful. Overall, it was a nice vacation, but as I mentioned, the nationality-based separation was quite humiliating. That being said, the Italian guests were very kind and friendly, which was a refreshing change compared to the Russian clientele often encountered on holiday.
