Hampton Inn & Suites Destin-Sandestin Area

Hotel room was very clean and modern. Only ice machine was on ground floor but no issue. Many restaurants surrounding it so easy for food and drinks. Breakfast isn’t much but was included so can’t complain. Its also only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the white sandy beaches of Sandestin

Modern decor - loved the look of the hotel and very clean. Very comfortable beds, great shower, great placement of hooks, place to plug in phones, and mirrors. Very friendly front desk staff. Received books on local activities and restaurants. Had issue getting tv remote to work and front desk staff came up to room to make sure it worked. Only issue was they didn’t tell us no housekeeping service and garbage cans were small so emptied own garbage. Also the breakfast was not much at all - yogurt, mini muffins, 1 kind of cereal with raisins, and individually wrapped apples. So if breakfast is important I wouldn’t book here or plan on going out. There is a Dunkin Donuts right next to hotel. As far as I can see if they had a hot breakfast it would be excellent.

Was a little concerned from older reviews but after we arrived was very pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and staff were very accommodating! Would stay there again and would recommend. Close drive to the beach.

Hotel did not offer breakfast as advertised,so it's overpriced!Also,asked for extra tiles amd the lady at the front desk said 'bring us the dirty tiles'..thats the housekeepers job..unprofessional,never again

I flew to Destin, Florida to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Due to the weather my flight was delayed and ended up arriving around 1:30 AM on a Saturday morning. We also had some trouble finding a taxi to take us to the Evoke Destin hotel at that time and finally got to the hotel around 3:15 AM. Two hotel employees opened the reception door for us and informed us that there were no rooms available for us to stay in due to an overbooking problem created by the hotel management themselves. I made a reservation and paid a deposit directly through the Evoke Destin hotel two weeks in advance, but that was not enough for the hotel management to make sure we had a room for our stay. The hotel employees were not helpful at all, offered no help and left us out of the hotel saying the manager was not there and there was nothing they could do to help us. It was now 3:30 AM, my wife and I with no lodging and no transportation (no taxis or Uber available at that time) on a rainy night on our wedding anniversary day. You can imagine how this situation affected our entire vacation. We ended up finding a hotel that was a 20-minute walk away from the Evoke Destin hotel and we had to walk with suitcase in the dark for 20 minutes at 4:00 AM. The hotel we found ended up costing double the amount we budgeted for. Very sad experience and unacceptable. I am still waiting for them to refund my deposit...

We arrived at this hotel...the sign on the building said Hampton Inn, but the property changed hands and we no longer had a reservation for the night. Another couple had the same experience. We called Hilton who told us they sent a cancellation to us via email. I was unable to find the email and was advised to check my junk email! They were able to find us another property at a higher rate. Two hours of aggravation that was not welcome on a family vacation.
