Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lima Miraflores Art House

I stayed here for three nights last week. I arrived around 3:30 AM as my flight was delayed two hours. When I arrived the front desk representative asked by name if I was who he was expecting. Check-in was quick and he could not have been nicer. The lobby had modern decor and is bright. The room was small but not overly so and I really didn’t need anything bigger. There is a mini fridge which was nice and a desk. The only place to sit though, other than on the bed, was the desk chair. The room could use an armchair or at least another chair with a cushioned seat. Also, there is no dresser so there is very little space for clothes if you want to unpack. The closet has only one shelf which holds the safe so there is space there but that’s it. There are an also few hangers. The room and the bathroom were spotless as were the public areas. There are blackout curtains which keep most of the light out except around the sides which let in minimal light. Also and importantly, the windows have soundproofing which is really nice as the hotel is on a busy street. The bed was comfortable and there are two types of pillows a standard thicker one and a memory foam pillow. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel with one of those. Breakfast was included in my rate. It was good and included bread, cereal, fruit, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, sausages, another protein which was wrapped, apparently they will also prepare made to order omelets but I didn’t realize this until my last morning when I saw one being served to someone so that might be something they could put notice of on the tables or advise of. I believe breakfast is served until 10:30, which is nice. Some hotels end breakfast too early, The staff in the large breakfast area on the second floor could not have been nicer or more professional. That goes for the staff overall as well. They always greet you when you enter the lobby either from the elevator or the front door. Overall it was a wonderful stay with the small exceptions that I noted. I hope those are taken into consideration as they are important.
