Tamarind Tree Garden Resort - Katunayake

I went with my family and 3 other families for 3 nights. This hotel was booked by our friends and I was initially a little disappointed that it didn't have beach access as I can't really see myself enjoying a short holiday if not by a beach as I long for early morning walks by the shore. But I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel and all its many features. The property is absolutely stunning, with greenery everywhere and you feel like you have been transported to a tropical jungle. The rooms are villa style and massive in comparison to other hotels in this category. We never felt crammped and enjoyed spending time in the little portico area as well. The food is very good and fresh and some of it sourced form their organic garden. There are two ponies thar roam the property which is a nice feature esp for the kids. The staff are friendly and very accommodating and ready to please. I enjoyed early morning walks around the property with and saw many birds and butterflies as well. Their organic garden is also very inspiring and educational esp.for the kids as the staff explain, composting and farm to table concepts. All in all, we all had a fabulous vacation and will definitely return in the future.

Nice hotel very conveniently located to the airport. Hotel arranged the airport transport and was very smooth. Staff were very accommodating and very conscious of your needs. Only stayed one night so didn’t spend any time exploring the area but would be ideal place if you are taking an early flight or get in late and need something close to the airport.

After a tired schedule we missed our flight. Then me and my wife looked for a hotel to stay at one day till next flight. After talking to few places, browser shows greenish quiet place and we visited. Then we experienced amazing quiet environment with nice foods and hospitality, great atmosphere to relax.

We had Lunch on 25th Christmas day.I have no words to explain buffet is very delicious.And also service is excellent.Front office and restaurant members gave us wonderful service specially I would like to mention there name Darsha, mashi,thulakshana,senushi thank u so much for your service
