Gava Waterman Milna Resort – All Inclusive

Think before booking not cleaned from previous guests, duscusting, owners wasn't interested. Mouldy food, dirty loo, dirty bedding and towels, couldn't see out of windows as very dirty, tryed to contact number in welcome pack, person wasn't interested

animation team are great, lots of activities to join in on! rooms are cleaned everyday and beds are very comfy and food is good quality. beautiful views and great sea to swim in, the sea is warm. entertainment is good!! the animation team is good to talk to

I have given this resort 1 star for the beautiful location, accommodation and grounds . I don’t think this hotel should be selling itself as an all-inclusive resort because that’s what lets this hotel down badly. The food is awful, always served cold, bland , not much variety and plating up an actual meal is impossible. When dishes are empty the staff are very slow to refill them, sometimes not being refilled at all. Food is not labelled, no jam in the morning unless you asked, butter cut into chunks in a big bowl, just awful . The restaurant can get busy on a night and if there are no tables they send you downstairs which is like a school canteen, only for them to remove the food and take it upstairs. The snack bar is a small chill unit that they fill with pots of carrot sticks and various things wrapped in cling film. No covered seating areas, the bar is like a serving hatch, but I must say the ice cream bar round the pool was very good. On arrival we requested a kettle and was told they would get housekeeping to put one in our room, it took 3 days for them to eventually tell us that none was available. This resort could be so much better, but I get the impression that the staff just don’t seem to care. All together we had a nice time due to the fact we spent a bit of time away from the resort. The whole dining experience was what really spoilt it for us. Will we return, most certainly not.

When we arrived at the hotel 14:20 we were told lunch is closing and we will not be able to have lunch which closed at 14:30. We had been on the move since 03:00 and had to wait for a pretty disappointing snack bar to open at 15:30. When we got into our room we descovered tatty headboards, a stained bathroom and the sofa made into two beds rather than the “L” shape advertised (more to come on the room later). We swiftly made our way to the pool which was lovely with plentiful sun beds. Food most days was disappointing with a lack of options, cold food which seemed to be recycled from lunch. There were many times where food was not replenished and the lack of options/variety was definitely noticeable. We frequently found ourselves as did many others over in the kids corner. Every morning from 10:30-12:30 there was loud music around the pool which could be heard blaring throughout the bay. The music wasn’t particularly good either and the songs were the same each day which didn’t make for any relaxing mornings. Housekeeping seemed to be working hard, although staff could often be seen sat on their phones. On one particular instance, we entered the room as housekeeping was coming out. Not only was our room not cleaned very well (e.g mirror left smeared, bed unmade), but our room was also left stinking of BO. On more than one occasion we found the pool bar by the restaurant unmanned even though opening hours were 10:00-18:00. On our final full day and departing morning we found several silverfish in our room and on the bed in the sheets. The rooms were clearly not fit for purpose - there’s a complete lack of privacy, unless you keep the shutters down - making the rooms dark, damp and depressing. With all this being said, we did enjoy our visit, the water sport facilities were lovely - however the rest of the hotel was a complete letdown. I would not recommend this to other couples as it was clearly more catered to families, which Jet2 didn’t seem to mention.

The Gava Waterman resort is beautifully set on a limestone cove near Milna on Brac. It has an excellent range of amenities such as the 3 outdoor swimming pools and beach with inflatable fun course, paddle boards an kayaks. There are a range of activities led by Hugo, Magicx, Dino and their animation team such as Aqua Aerobics and Archery by day and a full range of evening entertainment (Fire show, music quiz, Adam and Eve show). A young team that drive energy into the resort. The junior suite room is freshly designed, functional and frequently cleaned. The food and drink offered on the all inclusive package is of more variable standard but it is still easy to find something great from a wide range of options. A lovely holiday resort!

The resort was amazing they had so many fantastic activities it kept us entertained the whole time . The staff there were so kind and helpful , Hugo was amazing and made us have the best experience we could ever ask for ! The food was quite good but they didn’t really change the options that much but it doesn’t change the fact of the service and the taste of the food. overall this was a amazing experience with so much to do it was so worth it. if you want to have a amazing experience like us you should definitely come here !
