Lancemore Milawa

Loved the breakfast and location. Very nice area to visit. Some traffic noise in the morning. Would be happy to stay again

Unfortunately there is something not right about the feel of this hotel. It feels like a bunker, a bit cold and sterile, lacking warmth. Bare walls down the main corridor don't help. Our room ,16, was odd, in so far, as it had a large bracket on the wall for no discernible reason , and one light ,very high up on the wall that was attached to a Bluetooth speaker? The TV had a volume limit of 11 , so when the heating was on you couldn't hear it. The staff are friendly but need more training as the restaurant staff, with one exception, lack confidence and get rattled with guests arriving closely together. The food was excellent ,with both dinner and breakfast being of a high standard with the exception of the desserts. Shockers! On the Sunday night we eat at the local pub as the restaurant was closed, as advised. One last comment. went to get a coffee in the lounge and not one single person in the entire building. Odd, you betcha for the $'s charged.

Birthday weekend. No water for shower barely a drip. Apparently they fixed it, however was still terrible. Meals at the restaurant were fresh but bland and overpriced. Bar fridge smells bad. Aircon remote battery is flat. The bed was quite comfortable though. Not worth the $440pn in my view. Good meals at the hotel in Main Street. Room 35!

Nice clean rooms with a nice view either side of the building , comfortable bed and modern smart tvs with majority of apps to use. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast was good, breakfast menu could do with some more variety but otherwise we were happy with our stay. Staff were friendly.

We did not stay as it is very expensive. We have stayed before and had wonderful meal at Merlot restaurant. This time it was terrible. I ordered the fillet steak BLUE ie generally very raw and blood oozes out on the plate . Also blueisusually very tender and melting in the mouth. What arrived was tough I had trouble cutting off pieces. It reminded me of reconstructed meat. Told by waiter it was not but i do know my steaks and this was tough as. Partner had chicken breast which was very dry. Very expensive and not worth the travel from wangaratta. $235 for two courese and the cheapest bottle of wine. Will not return

Our visit to Lancemore Milawa last week, spending the weekend with friends, was truly exceptional. Every aspect of our stay was flawless, starting from the moment we entered the beautiful hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the food was not only fresh but also delicious. A heartfelt thank you is in order for Arabella, Alex, and Chris, whose exceptional service and attention to detail made our stay truly special.

Lovely location for wine tasting and gourmet dining. Milawa township is sadly empty. Gone are the mustard shop,the smokehouse and the only bakery closed by 3 pm. Lancemore is comfortable and pretentious but not top notch It is really too far for an easy drive for melbournians.

I stumbled across this hotel whilst working nearby and needing a place to stay for the night. The room and hotel was superb and spotlessly clean. Everything was easy, the staff made check-in and checkout effortless. My only regret was not having the time to make the most of this amazing place! Many thanks for your true hospitality! I will be back.
