Hotel Giacosa

Stayed four nights in March 24. Room clean and comfortable. A little traffic noise, but not excessive. Less than 10 mins walk to metro for access to all of Milan, few nice bars and eating spots nearby. Breakfast we thought was good value at €5 but a bit limited lots of sweet things but no hams or cheeses. At the price we paid it was good value. It is on the third floor of an office type building, but that's no real issue. I do wonder what some expect in a cheap/mid range hotel.

I would not even give this hotel a 1 but had to for the purpose of the review! DO NOT!! Book here! The pictures do not tell the truth! This hotel is a shambles, it’s filthy unclean and the location is very unsafe! As two young girls we did not feel comfortable when approaching this hotel! It’s in an office looking building the security on the front is so rude and when asked about the hotel pointed us to a door at the top of the steps! We was told to enter this old lift that was like a prison it was so small and very scary looking, when we reached the hotel on the third floor the receptionist was quite pleasant, she gave us the key to the room and told us we had to take the stairs as they have no lifts so we had to lug our cases up these steps! The corridor could only be described as something to resemble a *******! Different coloured lights and a foul smell, the room wasn’t much better the windows was covered in condensation you can here EVERYTHING!! Ours were broken and covered in mold, the shower was the same! Overall the room was just filthy! We stayed for around an hour till we decided it wasn’t for us we politely asked for a refund and showed pictures of the above to the receptionist she told me was not allowed a refund and that standard of hygiene was acceptable for a so called 4star hotel! After going back and forth they agreed to give us one night refund and the tax we paid however this had to be done the following morning and we was to cancel the reservation on *********** we agreed and decided to find other accommodation, few hours later I was greeted by multiple bites all over my arms legs face and back I had laid on the bed whilst in the hotel and been bitten by BED BUGS!!!! I was mortified!! The bites were painful and so itchy I notified the hotel and *********** to be told the hotel had refused to refund us! Iv had continuing disputes with pay pal and *********** sent medical evidence for the hotel to fake a refund receipt for one night nothing has been refunded into my bank 2 weeks later! Apart from the £7 tax! I would just avoid at all cost there are much nicer hotels in central Milan around the same price, with better service and with better hygiene standards. We have reported this hotel to health and safety and hygiene standards due to conditions of the room and my bites. We will be seeking legal advice and taking this further.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per una notte. L'aspetto esteriore faceva mal presagire, essendo inserito in un palazzo residenziale con l'ingresso vero e proprio al terzo piano. All'interno l'hotel è moderno, le stanze pulite, dotate di tutto il necessario, con bagno spazioso e doccia funzionale. Colazione con prodotti gelo industriali non indimenticabile ma nemmeno da buttare. La metro è a 400 metri, mi è sembrato un quartiere sicuro.

Stanza senza finestra. Si soffre per la mancanza di ossigeno. Un profumo artificiale e forte, da mal di testa.. La stanza è pulita Mai più

Kamer ruimte was prima maar simpel, geen problemen als je overdag weg bent natuurlijk. Echter was de badkamer zeer smerig! Zwarte schimmel als kit randen rondom en in de douchen en toilet .. ontbijtbuffet was simpel, maar prima. Zou er niet nog een keer heen gaan!
