Only one block from the Milan Cathedral, Hotel La Madonina is perfect to situated. It is also on the bus line that takes you to the Last Supper. High end shops are within walking distance. Expensive restaurants are close by too so we asked the hotel manager if there were any more reasonable ones within walking distance. He actually recommended three, all of which were within one block of the hotel and catered more to locals. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

20 metres from the duomo square. Small, but nice modern bedroom and bathroom. Decent breakfast, and friendly staff. Milan’s tram system ,running to 2am ,in the centre, does create a lot of street noise… Still, enjoyed our 3 night stay here.

Second stay here. Very good rooms. Good breakfast and service. Security. Convenient location. Would recommend for average cost hotel near Duomo, metro, trams, shopping. Lift is small but serviceable. Only fault was that room safe didn't work.

We had two rooms one single and one double. Our son had the single which was in the front of the hotel with a lovely view. Two windows that opened. Very bright and airy. This room was noisy with the street noise and the trolleys. The bathroom was nice. Our double room was at the back of building. There was zero light. When you opened the window and shutters you were facing a brick wall. The room was clean, the towels white and lovely, hot water. Very efficient shower. The bed hard and the pillows hard. There is a breakfast but we ate across the street. This hotel is central to the Duomo, shopping, restaurants. When you drive in you will not see a sign. The hotel has lettering on the wall but it is not visible. In spite of all the good features of this hotel I would not stay there again. I did not care for the atmosphere.

Hotel La Madonnina was EASILY the high-point of our 2-week visit to Italy. It is a beautiful place with the most wonderful staff. When you stay there you are so well-treated and cared for. This is a the perfect place to relax and spend some calm time enjoying the beautiful water. I mainly want to thank Francesco, who was brilliant in conducting a wine-tasting and Aldo, a first-class mixologist...both of whom make you feel you've made new friends. The room was large and comfortable. The views are spectacular. The restaurant is first class. I only wish we could have stayed longer at Hotel La Madonnina and would make it a point to come back next time we travel to Italy!

We had such a great stay at Hotel La Madonnina. The location of the hotel was perfect, so very close to the duomo. The room was wonderful and so clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff so kind and helpful.

If like me, you like to walk to the see the sights, then you cannot go wrong with this hotel. The Duomo is only minutes away as is the metro. If you are looking for all the mod cons of a luxury hotel, then this hotel is not for you. However, if you are looking for a very clean hotel, with great staff and a more than ample breakfast offering, then this is the place. Yes, as commented by other reviewers, the trams pass in front of the hotel so could present issues to light sleepers. I was in room 202 - air con great! No problems with the wifi in the room and breakfast room, very good coffee. Room relatively quiet. And there is a lift 🙂 Cristiano provided great service and assistance during the snap taxi strike. To Cristiano and his Papa, grazie mille.

A hotel in the heart of Milan. 2 minutes away from Duomo and the metro. Breakfast is a small range but more than enough. Get a cappuccino and hit the road. 😍. Our room. Had a ballcony with a beautiful video. Also the tram stop was in front of the hotel. Just make sure you have internet to use Google maps to find hotel location 😍

If you want to stay in the beating heart of Milan, you couldn’t choose a better location than that of la Madonnina. Il Duomo is a stone’s throw away. Of course this means a lot of noise, so if you are a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs. Here are some pros and cons: + I had asked for a quiet twin room and I got it (at least it was relatively quiet) + breakfast was quite varied for an Italian one, containing omlette, cold cuts and, of course, sweet items +the room was rather spacious and clean, but… - the hotel, at least our room, needs maintenance -my biggest gripe was the inefficient air conditioning: it was old and huffed and puffed without cooling the room🥵 so sleep quality wasn’t the best
