Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort anmeldelser

My husband and I stayed at Temptation Grand Miches August 15-20. we are previous customers of Desire Pearl and were actually referred by Desire Pearl last year. However, since then it seems there is no marketing for Temptation Grand. The place has potential but alot of corrections/repairs need to be made. it seems the owners chose quantity over quality in construction, for example the building is new but looks dated 15-20 years, doors were not hung to the floor and insects/creatures of all kinds crawl under the doors into the rooms, grading/landscaping is terrible and there is standing water in walkways with heavy rains, there is also overflowing sewage on the Temptation side with heavy rain, walls are cracking in the rooms, areas already in need of paint, decor already peeling and cracking, door frames/walls not cut/framed properly, and honestly just very poor construction for a new resort. There is no jacuzzi, there is a semi heated rooftop pool with no jets, this is very disappointing and ruins the entire jacuzzi vibe. The pop/hip hop music was so loud from the Temptation side that you could hear it on the Grand side. The Grand side was maybe 25% capacity and both the Grand side and the Temptation side seemed to cater to the 20-30's age range. Again if the place was marketed properly and was full capacity, we might could offer a different opinion. So , if you're looking for the Upscale more mature yet fun atmosphere like Desire you will not find that here. The Disco/play room was near empty most nights and was completely empty one night at 11pm and so was the hot pool area. Definitely a plus that the resort is clothing optional at the pool/hot pool/ play room on the Grand side, it definitely would have made for a boring trip if this was not offered. The English language barrier is really bad here compared to Desire/Mexico and made communicating requests very difficult at times, also most of the activities were not communicated in English, the beach is okay, certainly not as pretty or calm as Riviera Maya(when the seaweed is gone). The food at both were okay. Romanza( Italian) and SHE(must see dinner show) on the Temptation side were really good, Suki on the Grand side was good, the lunch buffet on the Grand side was good everyday. Drinks at all bars were good and did not appear to be watered down at all. Playmakers seemed to want to entertain a little too much, would expect the Grand side to be toned down just a little bit as compared to the Temptation side. All staff were smiling and friendly!!! That being said, the following staff were exceptional... Yuleidy- bartender at the hot pool was outstanding and needs a promotion and would be fabulous at Desire! Junior- bartender at Temptation and Grand Disco was also fabulous and makes the best strawberry Maragrita- he also deserves a promotion! Lisaury- hostess at Grand is so incredibly friendly and deserves a promotion! Jose and Keisy at Suki were outstanding!! Julian-server was helpful and ext

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Desire Miches. We went for our honeymoon (for 9 days) and are really glad we chose this resort. :::: Resort ::::: The Desire side of the resort is lovely, albeit some construction issues like strange wiring on lights, some pooling water and a few less than perfect finishing jobs the overall resort was still beautiful. We chose to ignore the flaws and make the trip the best we could. The room are very spacious, the beds are comfy, and I really enjoyed have the patio to sit out on and enjoy some of the moody Dominican storms. :::: The Food :::: I really enjoyed the food, the breakfast and lunch buffets had a great selection for a resort buffet. Now don't expect gourmet here it is a buffet but I enjoyed fresh crepes for breakfast everyday and delicious sushi for lunch. - Tantazione: we only got to experience this restaurant one (on the Saturday) as it (including snack) was closed any other time. The time we did get to enjoy it, the food was great! - Sahlo: the food at Sahlo was very good, however, this seemed to be the restaurant that had the least good service. There were a few hiccups, but they would correct any mistakes and were gracious. There is also a cat named Luna who hangs out on the patio waiting for you to feed him Salmon. - Sukhi: Sukhi was by far my favourite, we went 3x and had different options each times. If you are a sushi person, definitely have the rolls! If not, the rock shrimp and beef options were great! We did not of trying to Hibatchi section but we did see a few of the "shows" and it was great to watch even from another table. - She: She is the only restaurant on the Temptation side we went to, the food was good (not great, but not bad also), but the show was what really made the experience. It is a set menu here, so do not expect to order, your 4 course meal is simply brought out shortly after you are seated. - Room Service: unfortunately the night we ordered room service they were missing a few options, but non-the-less the food was good and what is to be expected for room service. - Addiction: great coffee and sacks! And the Baristas are lovely to chat with. :::: The Staff ::: I have few staff members I'd love to shout tout for making our trip so great!! Playmakers: - Yenfri: so much fun, and really kept the party going a times! - Cuba: such a sweet heart, I really enjoyed taking her classes each day! - La China: my new friend, so friendly and so much fun to play games and talk too! Especially during the more rainy days. Pool Staff: - Franlin: Franlin was our go to for bali bead reservations, he always had fresh towels for us and would regularly check in. - Carlos: Carlos regularly check in as well and made sure we had everything we needed! And helped us with reserving beds and the days Franlin was off. Restaurant Staff: Carlos, Emmanuel & Anna: they were the best most attentive servers. We had them multiple times and various restaurants and always checking in, bri

The hotel itself and staff were excellent. Very well designed. Staff was friendly. However, the food was almost horrible. The was no water amenities, like sailboats, etc. Beach was brown and not inviting. Nighttime entertainment was boring and repetitive. The ride from Punta Cana was long and expensive $300 plus tips. I don't think it was a good value for our money. We won't be back.

Nov 22-29/2022 - First time to Temptation Grand Miches/Desire Miches. Resort is about a year old, recently changed name to Desire Miches. Rooms are nice size and beds are comfortable. Food and service was good. Resort is nicely laid out with Large clean pool w/swim-up bar, roof top hot tub w/swim-up bar, nice disco, gorgeous beach, small gym, and free access to sister property a short walk away at Temptation Miches. We enjoyed ourselves and met lots of great people. Resort was not full but there was plenty of people. Noticed many of the staff are working hard to learn English and we appreciated their efforts. We arrived as a group of 4 couples (premier member + referrals) and were assigned a fantastic butler named Jochi, who continuously went above and beyond to make sure we were all having a fabulous trip. Gabriel (the mixologist) at the bar made tasty drinks including our fave after eight martinis. Franklin & Carlos did a great job everyday ensuring our loungers & towels and needs around the pool were well taken care of. LaCina, Bella & Anaconda worked hard to keep the activities & vibe fun (pool & beach volleyball, Aquafit, beach & pool yoga, afternoon pool games, etc.) So many friendly cheerful staff in the dinning rooms and poolside serving drinks, including the pool bar tenders. Only a few things we would like to see in the future : a beach BBQ shack and beach drink service along with beach washrooms. Fans in dinning room and bar areas would be appreciated plus More liquor brand options. This resort has lots of potential and we are Already thinking about when we might return.

After reading reviews I would like to say a lot are true. The resort is new and has lots of work to do. Food is poor at best and many nights we did not eat. We had the wrong meal dropped off at our table and told the guy this is not our food 25 minutes later they asked if we wanted desert, we told him we still had not received our meal. It became a joke after the second night and what could happen next. We did bring this up to the hotel manager she was not shocked. Night time food is zero. If you take a walk next door you can find something to eat. We made sandwiches at lunch and put them in the room fridge. Many guests we talked to had the same opinions on the food. This resort is great if you are trying to lose weight. Like others we did have items taken from our room. Couple of bright stars were Misael and Anna. If you are not a premier member you will not get a chair by the pool. If we had to do it all over we would save the money and book in a couple of years if they are still open. Over all this was the first time we wanted to leave a resort and looked forward to going back to the frozen north.

This was our first trip to a Desire resort, as we are regulars at Hedonism 2. We were blown away at the size and the beauty of our intimate jacuzzi suite. The resort is absolutely breath taking, it is definitely 5 star material! We loved Sahalo (sp) Italian/Mediterranean cuisine. Nicholas was our waiter on all nights we dined here, and that man worked so hard for us. It seemed like he was all alone, looking after everyone's needs with speed, accuracy and a big smile on his face. Sandy was our attendant each morning for breakfast, he had such a fun/positive vibe, and was an absolute joy to see each morning. Anna Karen was our greeter, and we also enjoyed our morning chats with her. I wish we were here longer than a week to have made connections with more employees! We enjoyed most of our evening meals, with the exception of "SHE" it is a set ,meal, and you are not asked about allergies or HOW you would like your beef cooked. I ended up with bacon in my soup (I'm allergic, and yes that's unfair!!) that was quickly fixed when i noticed it, and exchanged for a bowl free of bacon, however the steak was over cooked for me, and not overly enjoyable (but certainly edible!) She is a fun experience, and should I do recommend checking it out! You may want to make a second reservation! We were not able to get a reservation at Suki, but ordered off the menu (we could walk in and get a seat) and i LOVED my meal! I was glad i ordered off the menu instead of waiting for the cook top meal! The pool parties varied in enthusiasm. It is not the high energy that we are accustomed to in Jamaica, however, 2 days stand out as fun and edgy! One day they put chocolate syrup on the girls, and had their men lick it off, and of course the foam party was high energy, and so much fun... this stands out as my favourite day! Take caution walking around the resort, all paths, stone , cemement and wood are SLIPPERY WHEN WET!!! We had lots of rains, and many near death experiences slipping all over the walks. Thankfully we are both still alive and unbroken to warn you about this! Don't let the dark murky water scare you, its shallow for quite a way out, and if you get out there in those waves, you will feel like a kid again. I spent my last afternoon jumping in those waves, and had so much fun! Evening show times were average, nothing stood out as over the top, there is still room for improvement there. They need to bring something a little more seductive and intriguing into their showtime performances. Several of the performers are there to shine, and a few are happy in the shadows trying to follow along. The disco is beautiful, and i love the light up dance floor, however maybe 20 people can get on it, then it's dangerous, I was afraid i was going to fall off the edge and break an ankle. It is very loud in the disco in an enclosed area like that, so we generally retreated to the hot tub early where it is quieter, and we could enjoy the night sky and some friendly conversation. T

We just returned from 8 nights at this incredibly sexy and beautiful resort. This was our first stay at this property but we have been frequently to Cancun and RM. it’s now our favorite. There’s so much to say good, amenities, playmakers, music, pool, jacuzzi, beach, club, shows, having use of both resorts full restaurants and pools, foam parties, lots of friendly people, weather, new buildings and spaces to explore…it’s going to surpass Mexico we think. Flights were long coming from the west coast of US but we don’t mind. The journey from the airport to resorts was around 1.5 hours but beautiful country. It’s not hard to get transport but book ahead! Don’t pay more than $150 round trip for 2 people. It’s possible by booking online and ahead. The airport arrival is confusing. Be sure you know where you meet your driver. We had no trouble through customs but we made sure we knew the e-ticket requirements for DR. There are no cons for us. This is a new concept for DR, it’s hard to find employees everywhere but with patience and grace anything you find wrong is rectified or planned to be rectified soon. The staff are beautiful and we enjoyed connecting with everyone in some way. Staff shoutouts: Roberto for making me the best “todo” omelette fresh every morning with a huge smile Ana Karen - hostess for breakfast and Asian restaurant. Sweet and helpful Juana - addiction coffee, shy but really opened up and remembered my coffee drink each day Franlin - what can we say, he’s the pool and towel master. Great personality with a great future. Viktor - drinks at pool bar best whiskey sour and huge smile so friendly Bellboy-tall muscular guy, I think it’s Juan, but he was so helpful when we had to move rooms Niky -waiter was everywhere! The best and helped us with extra snacks for our trip home Coffee coffee Sandy! Ay yi yi Elias - behind the scenes hard working and learning to be pool support Food: we enjoyed it, found our favorites and discovered new dishes. We were never hungry that’s for sure! Food choices are available somewhere 24 hours. We loved the Asian restaurant the best, most consistent. Drinks: we aren’t picky but ended up trying a lot of them. Ask around what the drinks are when you see others ordering something. Dirty monkey, mango tango. Yum! Room: we stayed in building 1 in the fantasy suite. It was the base level room but was amazing and had everything we wanted. We had a few electrical issues but after trying to fix it twice they moved us to an even better view on the third floor. The rooms are very confortable, clean and well maintain. The Staff is well train to make you feel like home Ignacio, Victor, Gabriel, Karol, Leo and the rest of the bartenders will get you the best drinks at all times. The Jacuzzi is great Yuleidi will also serve you well there. The food is good and the service received from Hector, Johan, Miky, Milciades is off the hook. Also the playmakers are doing a good job entertaining (Maluma, Cuba, Yenfry, La China, Luz, Gustavo, Fire Girl, Electra and Mariposa). Special shot out to Franklin on the pool. The bad part of my experience was the way that certain employees threat the premier members in the Temptation Side, Alex remove us from the “reserve area for premier members” to seat non members. This was our second visit to the Desire(Grand) and both times he acted the same way. I guess there is no special treatment for Premier in Temptation Miches. But overall my experience was great, I would coming back for sure!

The hotel as a stay was excellent. It was very laid back but offered some activities to do off campus. The staff was friendly and attentive to our every need. Great spot for couples to get their "sexy back" in the bedroom. We got the "lover suite" so we had access to Temptation Miches next door, which was awesome.

Desire Miches Review Nov 15th - 22nd 2023 We just got back from a week at Desire Miches DR (Formerly Temptation Grand). We had such a good trip, and already booked again for next year. This was our first time at a Desire resort, so cant directly compare with Pearl or RM, but from talking with a number of folks while there, everyone said they would be back to Miches again. The Social: The experience on any trip is often going to be swayed by the people around you. We had a great group of people during our stay. Some left after a few days, and other new folks come in, but overall everyone was great, the energy was very positive, and we were never without good conversation. We are a bit of social butterflies, but we literally talked with EVERYONE. We made a number of friends on the trip, exchanged a bunch of contacts, and are already planning future trips with people. The night life was great! The shows were all pretty much the same. House band with a live singer who had a great voice. We would of been happy if the band finished immediately when the show did, as their music kind of stalled the dancing getting started. Once it did start though, they party went all night, and we had a blast. The Resort: Firstly, I want to talk about the Desire side (Grand Side). The resort itself was excellent. We were a little nervous about some of the reviews before going down, and I must say that our experience was only positive. We very much enjoy a smaller resort feel with everything very close and easily accessible. Need to go grab something from the room, no problem it is a minute away. Want to switch from the pool to the hottub, easy peasy. The bars were generally well stocked up. The pool bars a little less to offer, but you are belly up to the bar in the Caribbean, have some expectations of reality. The hot tub layout was great, and having it with easy access to the disco/club makes a ton of sense. The beach was gorgeous. We are not ones to hang out at the beach, but very much like to take a stroll or two. We very much liked the seclusion at the beach, especially from the Desire side as you have a little pre-beach area before getting to the full beach. Once on the full beach, it was still nice and private, and very clean. Temptation side, was a bit of a different story. I will say we did not spend much time on the temptation side at all. We went once for dinner (dark at night), then once for a walk early in the morning. We were not really a fan of the aesthetic on the Temptation side, and it seems like they made a number of little questionable decisions that all add up to some people not loving it as much. Part of the reason we booked the Desire side was to have access to both, but we were very much happy to stay on the Desire side full time. The Rooms: The rooms were fantastic. We stayed in an intimacy jacuzzi room on the ground floor building 10, and had absolutely no complaints. The room was huge, the bathroom was enormous, everything worked with

Excelente comida , buena atención , mala ubicación si es por la pista vieja .. los playmakers muy educados .. Me encanto lo recomiendo al 100 … Burbuja súper chula , todos y la discoteca estaba media floja pero todo genial

Son las mejores vacaciones que hemos tenido en años. Mucha diversión y tranquilidad. La atención del personal es magnífica y con muy buenos animadores. El lugar es agradable y el mar muy sereno En cuanto podamos volveremos

Estuve el fin de semana antes de halloween, la recepción muy linda te dan un buen recibimiento, pero nadie te explica ni te muestra bien las instalaciones, no tienen un programa para uno saber las actividades, lo cual hace que te las pierdas o llegues tarde, tampoco es que hacen mucho, es más para descansar que para pasarla bien, muy monótono y la música terrible, buena comida, buena bebida, pero perdí mucho tiempo por no saber que cosas se podrían hacer, no sabes que se permite y que no, muy poca información, los empleados comprometidos con dar un buen servicio.
