Miami Shore Apartments & Motel

We booked here as it was within walking distance to The Marketta Markets for a Maoli Concert. We were lucky the new owner Nick was on-site. He was friendly, inviting and generous without being intrusive. While staff were putting the finishing touches on our room. We were given complimentary drinks. Which you don't get at the big hotels. The newly renovated Motel has an intimate modern feel to it. Our 2 bedroom apartment had everything we needed. Everything was new clean and fresh. The bathrooms emerald tiles and gold coloured fixtures amazing with 2 choices of shower heads. The bed was to die for, so comfy! Big plush luxurious pillows. Best sleep ever. Felt so spoilt. Swimming pool with clean clear pristine water, is the best on a hot day. Will definitely stay at The Shore Motel again. I highly recommend it to everyone. New owner, Newly renovated, New feel. Value for money.

Booked room there as reasonably priced & especially had a pool. Miniscule room with queen & single bed. No area info or tv guide usually found in motel rooms I've stayed in before. Only thing clean were the sheets, pillow cases & towels, bed cover - no; no blankets (but then probably not clean either). Had to wash glass before could use - wasn't game/didn't use any other crockery, cutlery or appliances. Paint peeling off walls & tiles etc in bathroom. Heavily marked & damaged furniture. Bugs on floor. Iced up freezer had heavens knows what frozen into ice - looked mouldy. Shower hardly worked - dribbled water after using force to even turn taps on. Vending machine outside bathroom window extremely noisy all night. Bathroom window screen disgusting & window frame lose. Sliding door lose also. Didn't feel safe so hardly slept. - especially as curtains never even completely covered door. Wasn't game to use pool - wasn't clean. Very disappointed. No wonder place for sale - in really bad shape (not even motel light lit up outside). Worth half what I paid - & that's being generous.
