Nice hotel for business travelers but the service is poor. When I got to my room, there was a note on the door, along with every door, stating that due to unforeseen circumstances, Jefferson Parish locations are in effect for "Saltwater intrusion issue". Residents/Guests should not drink water from any faucets, boiling or disinfecting is it not advised. We have plenty of bottled water for all our guests for use, so please feel free to take a reasonable amount. I stopped by the front desk and asked if it was ok to grab a bottle of water from the fridge, the lady at the desk said for $3.50. I said, not according to the paper on my door! She said the free water is gone. That is the water for sale. I said you need to take all the notes off every door then. Just an hour before when I was checking in, I saw what appeared to be the manager and 2 guys bringing in cases of water. I told her, being a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, I’m always giving 2 bottles of water and some snacks which I usually turn down but she didn’t extend me the offer. This type of service is not what I usually experience with Marriott Hotels.
