Opera Relais

My wife and I have been travelling for the past 6 months and this is hands down the best hotel we have stayed in,everything was perfect, great variety breakfast clean comfortable rooms. The location was great close to the train and bus station, with plenty of cafes and restaurants would definitely go back.

We stayed at the property in room 3 as we were coming for work to Messina. The room had double layered windows to leave the noise out but the smell of bad perfume inside the room was so strong we had to leave it open, it was cold and noisy so we didn’t get much sleep. The worse part was that every time we used the toilet there was a haunting sound of pipes that would go on for hours, it was said to be a masserator and that we shouldn’t put TOILET PAPER down the loo which we didn’t but still the noise was so loud INSIDE the room all night long. The awful smell and the noise really don’t make this place worth. On top of that, the lack of higiene to have to dispose toilet paper in a small hard to open bin

I had a few misunderstandings and miscommunication with the hotel but we dealt with those. Possibly it will surprise Rosy to hear I would stay there again!! But the position was great for me and my room was lovely. There are a couple of things I want to pass on to other prospective guests. The first thing...we think this was booking com fault that I didn't get full info re checking in....but the hotel has 2 locations one is at 85 and one at 113 and the reception is at 113. Quite important to know that! There is no safe in the room..maybe Opera Relais could consider providing them. The 3rd thing for me as I do try to be Green and am concerned about the environment is that my towels were changed after just one night. I was staying 3 nights and would have been perfectly happy to have the same towels for my whole stay. There wasn't a Do Not Disturb sign provided so my room was serviced but in this day and age most places now suggest that the guest request fresh towels if they want them otherwise the hotel will assume you are happy to use the same ones. Let's do our bit for the planet please and not do unnecessary washing!!!

Be careful! Don't accept being hosted in the room named "Turandot": it's located close to the kitchen and the reception/entrance. Very noisy. Impossible to rest. They noticed us that they'd change the room, and they never did it!! Three noisy and restless nights in July 2022.

Stanze confortevoli e B&B ben posizionato, vicino al famoso duomo. Personale gentilissimo e un'ottima colazione. Davvero consigliato.

Das Opera B&B ist eine erstklassige Wahl für einen Kurztrip nach Messina. zentral gelegen, alles fussläufig, viele Bars und Restaurants und auch Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe. Rezeption ist von 15:00 bis 20:00 besetzt und Alessia von der Rezeption ist eine echte Perle. freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr bemüht. Zimmer sehr sauber, aber etwas hellhörig. tolles Ambiente und nettes „typisch italienisches“ Frühstück. wir werden bei Gelegenheit sicher wieder kommen
