Spark by Hilton Phoenix East Mesa

We just arrived home from a soccer trip to Arizona. I woke my son up this morning at 6am - He got up and I turned the light on next to his bed and on his pillow was a bed bug. I shrieked and my husband came over and squished it. My husband then went down to the front desk and told the man at the desk, and then 30 min later, the woman at the front desk what we had found. They did not believe him, and in fact, there was a vague attempt to insinuate he was trying to con them to get a free room. SO he came back upstairs and grabbed the bloody white towel he used to kill the bug,and remains of the smashed bed bug and brought them downstairs. They still did not believe it had come from our room and said their manager would call us today. We never heard from the manager. We paid for the room and are completely disgusted. I have approximately 9 bites on my ankle and have just spent the past several hours washing and drying on high heat all of our belongings. luggage is bagged and outside. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is sub par and I would never stay here again. Paper thin walls. Could hear EVERYTHING. Oh, and the gal at the desk said "well, we have had bed bugs in the past...."

We spent 3 days at this property. EVERY day the elevator was broken. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. We had to walk down 3 flights of stairs. Anytime I had a load to carry up or down the staff was there to assist me. The staff was cheerful and always ready to help. The beds were great, and the property was clean.

Definitely should not be a 3 star hotel! The toilet is disgusting and barely flushes. The seat underneath is stained yellow and all around the toilet. The telephone in the room is so gross! Looks like food and dirt lodged into all the cracks in the telephone. Way overpriced!

This hotel has a great pool and friendly staff! It was fantastic for a quick trip! The location is convenient and easy to get to! The staff are really willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience. They were able to accommodate us last minute.

The carpets in this hotel were so filthy I would never stay here again. I asked for about a dozen towels to lay over the floor in our room because it was so filthy. Beware to anyone staying here it’s not the same as it was when it was a Best Western!!

Carpet is messed up. Killed a pincher bug in the bathtub right off the bat. No clock in the room. No stopper in the sink. Very very low quality for the $200 a night cost. We stayed because of the venue location in close proximity to the Legacy sports complex.. but will go back to the holiday inn down the street for a more clean stay.
