Despite its address, this hotel is not in Amirim; it is 1.5km (along a busy main road) from the village – a definite drawback for those (like us) without a car. With a car the hotel is well placed for visiting several nearby towns; it could therefore be a good touring centre. The impressive reception area gave a welcoming first impression, as we checked in. Our spacious and well-furnished room, like many in this hotel, was in a separate building. There was a large (shared) terrace by our room, which had a very nice view of hills and, in the distance, Lake Kinneret. There were a few minor problems in the room which Antonio, who spoke much better English than the other staff we met, sorted out. Although the hotel has a garden, there is hardly anywhere to walk in the grounds. Although the hotel is set back, it is on a main road, so that is also not suited to walks. The meals we had in the dining room were good. However, dinner was not served on Saturday evening and no food was available for purchase in the hotel. When Antonio realised that we did not have a car, so could not drive to a nearby town for a meal, he suggested we take some cold items from the breakfast buffet to keep in our fridge to eat later. We therefore had a very nice alfresco supper in our room on Saturday evening.
