victims of a robbery in the Hotel Ambassador in Merida on 02/06/23. After reading the reviews on google, we see we are not alone. They entered our locked hotel room and our locked suitcase and stole approx. 180 usd and 200 euro. They left the UAH and the LEU. I realize there is little chance of recovery, but after reading that there was another victim just 3 days before, We thought you should be notified. It's our belief this wasn't a single housekeeper but an organised act. We worry for the next victims safety if they were to come back to the room unexpectedly. We spent 21 days in Yucatan and felt generally safe. The hotel is old and nasty.

Unfortunately during my stay at hotel ambassador in Mérida, I had a considerable amount of money taken from our locked room. It was clear that it was a member of the hotel staff. When I reported this, the receptionist was extremely unhelpful. Not one member of staff was able to speak English, as stated in the hotel information. Instead, the receptionist thrust a phone at me with Google translate and expected me to type out my problem. I asked for a manager but was repeatedly told that there was no manager available, although the receptionist was certainly completely incompetent. We asked for information about contacting the police and again she was unable to help, nor could she produce any compliant forms for us. We called the police ourselves and then travelled to the district police station to file the report. The hotel made no effort to investigate the issue themselves or to support us with this issue. Unfortunately this leaves a thief on the hotel staff at the hotel ambassador in Mérida, so certainly a hotel to avoid! Very disappointed!

Me hospedé en este hotel por vacaciones, por 7 días con mi familia y me quedo a desear el hotel. Cuenta con alberca y un área para comer y al lado hay una agencia de tours. Las habitaciones (o al menos en las que nos tocó) estaban horribles, pintura desgastada, poca iluminación y los muebles viejos, inclusive el teléfono de la habitación no tenía línea. Pasó lo mismo en las otras que se quedaron mis otros familiares. Los muebles viejos, el baño desgastado y la pintura también. Es un hotel muy bueno, por lo céntrico que es, lastimosamente el interior no la da.

Cuando mucho llega a 2 estrellas. No tienen agua potable para los clientes como en todos los hoteles. En hoteles 3 estrellas en los que me he alojado, disponen de garrafones de agua potable dispuestos estratégicamente. Los baños son incómodos, viejos y antihigiénicos: pequeños y apretujados, el lavabo tapado y la llave goteando agua. El costo es excesivo para la calidad del cuarto y el servicio. Quizá tuvo su momento hará unos 30 años. Por lo miserable que se ve, ha de ser propiedad de españoles o judíos, o de políticos yucatecos, acostumbrados a depredar, sin ofrecer nada. Triste.

Ningún detalle con la reseración; pero es una lástima tomen pertenencias de los huéspedes de sus bolsos; NO DEJEN COSAS DE VALOR ni aún dentro de sus maletas; no hay responsabilda del personal, no hay oferta de cajas de seguridad ni resguardo; y mucho menos na atención correcta para apoyar al huésped en situaciones como estas, lo que es un abuso, sabiendo que debemos retornar al día siguiente y es casi imposible dar seguimiento o proceder de alguna manera RATEROS!

Pésimo hotel. Algunas personas del servicio no son nada atentas ni amables. La entrega de cuartos se tardó 2 horas y entregaron una distinta. La televisión se ve mal, no hay teléfono, el baño está increíblemente pequeño y apretado, se ve poco higiénico, el internet es de mala calidad y el elevador también, demasiado pequeño. El mobiliario ya está muy viejo. Algunos cuartos NO tienen aire acondicionado y otros días NO hubo agua caliente! Si reclamas no te resuelven nada. El lobby es pésimo, tampoco hay aire acondicionado ni ventilación y está apretado.
