We picked this place due to the reviews and the location. We were greeted nicely when we arrived. We we told to call the number on the wall if we could not find Alfredo. The first thing we noticed is that the tap in the shower leaked and continually dripped. Then we had trouble getting on to the wifi only to find out the wifi in our room did not work and had to connect to another wifi which had such a weak signal that our laptops never got a proper signal. The first night we were there, we were locked out of the house. When we could not get the attention of anyone inside the house, we called the number on the wall. A lady that only speaks Spanish in Cancun, answered the phone. Luckily my wife speaks a little Spanish but could barely understand her. After getting in we realized there are no blankets on the beds. The next morning, I told Alfredo about being locked out and he said it should not have happened and it more than likely it was his Aunt. He said he would speak to her. He then gave us some blankets. It was now that we realized they do not have hot water. This is confusing as both the shower and sink have both taps. That night we got back early enough to get in. We were woken up around 5:00 am due to a Marathon being held and such loud music it was impossible to sleep. This is when we found out we had no water. Unfortunately Alfredo was nowhere to be found and people were telling his Aunt, who only speaks Spanish, about it. She had no idea what to do, That night we were locked out again. The only other light in the room was a small lamp with a broken bulb. The ceiling fan does not work. This location is great if you are not bothered by anything above. It caters more for the local and low budgeted traveler. If Hot Water is one of your priorities you need to look elsewhere. I think overall we could get past everything except the hot water issue and being locked out.
