This hotel is near the southern cross station which is the destination of the skybus from airport. It’s very convenient to go back and forth to the southern cross station. In CBD, there is a free tram zone in which people have no needa tap on or off their myki card, and the hotel is close to tram stations too. Also, it’s walking distance between the hotel and flinders station/ Lune/ Pidapipó CBD. If you book one day tour, tour guide usually pick you up at Great Southern Hotel, which is next to this hotel. The hotel offers 247 reception. Check-in and Check-out were quick. Body wash and shampoo were provided, but not toothpaste and toothbrush. The room was small but good enough for a person. The room was tidy.

1. room is very clean 2. very close to city and train station 3. my room 320 is in 4rd floor without window, thus the room is quiet which make me a good sleep. Besides, at the reception desk, Ms Salma is very kind and expert during my check-in, thank you.

The hotels staff is kind, they help me to get early check in. The location was great, only a minutes walk to free tram zone (only 5 stop to Finder St Station). Walk for 5 minutes from southern cross station that connect to many destination. A lot of food, grocery store by walk. Very recomended

The room is kind of too small but the service is okay

Really really small space. Door of the bathroom wouldn't even slide close and was no lock. Good location and cleanliness was alright but wouldn't recommend it if it's for business travellers or friends.

Overall: My stay at this hotel was very disappointing and fell far below basic expectations for cleanliness and comfort. Good: The hotel staff, including both front desk managers and 2 cleaning ladies, were polite and did their best to help. After I reported the issue, management apologized and upgraded me to a larger room on a higher floor. The cleaning staff were especially attentive and kept the room tidy every day, so the rodent problem was definitely not their fault. Bad: I was woken up at 3am by noises and discovered 2 rats in my room. I managed to kill one, but the other escaped. This was extremely distressing. ♧ Suggestion to other travellers♧ I would not recommend staying at this hotel. If you have to stay here, insist on a higher floor. While the location is convenient and the staff are all friendly and professional, the building is old, and pest problems are a serious concern. ♧Suggestion to hotel♧ Pest control needs to be done much more frequently and thoroughly. Management should take more responsibility for guest safety and comfort, not just offer upgrades after complaints. Budget hotel guests still expect basic hygiene and a safe environment—this should be a priority

The hotel location is excellent and very convenient to travel via free city circle tram. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

The shoebox room is a good pick if you are looking for a cheaper option with a private bathroom (although it is a very small bathroom). Further on the bathroom size, there is minimal space, and if you are taller or larger, you will find it very difficult to manoeuvre around it, with the sink being about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. Although it says hair conditioner is provided, it is actually not, and the front desk had confirmed that trip.com has not updated it accordingly. It is worth noting that there is no microwave in the room, but you are able to go to the front desk if you need to warm food. There is always someone at the front desk 24/7 as well. The walls are also quite thin and not at all soundproof, so pray that you do not have noisy neighbours or spill any secrets in a loud manner. Very convenient location in Docklands with free city trams almost right outside and the Southern Cross railway station less than a 10 minute walk away. If you are coming from the airport, a SkyBus is available that comes directly to the Southern Cross station and is a much cheaper option than a cab, especially if you are solo or packing light.

Everything was fantastic. The location was only a three minute walk to Southern Cross Station which was why I chose Best Western. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Best of all it was very quiet for the middle of Melbourne. Close to great food places. Had 3 meals from the Bahn Me place just around the corner in Flinders Lane. Very good. Close to everywhere. Only a 15 min walk to Bourke Street Mall. Staff were very helpful. I needed a photocopy of boarding passes for flights within my next destination India and the staff said that was no problem. Very happy. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The basin in the bathroom is too small. Water splashes to the ground when using it. The staff/hotel not accommodating enough. I requested them to help me keep my big luggage for 2 nites and was refused.

Small but very budget-friendly room in a convenient location. Friendly staff. Would stay there again.
