Room itself was as described but the city view was so lousy. Location ok, free CBD tram in front and variety of restaurants. Shopping area was quite far to walk. In all I would look for another hotel if I were to go to Melbourne again.

Le Méridien Melbourne is a great option if you're staying in the CBD for business. The location is convenient, just a short walk to Parliament and well-connected to everything you need. One of the best perks is that you don’t need a Myki transport card—the hotel is within the Free Tram Zone, so you can hop on and off trams without worrying about fares. If you're visiting in December, the sun doesn’t set until 9 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore after work. The hotel is also surrounded by great restaurants, with Melbourne’s dining scene generally falling into three pricing tiers: - $30–$50 per main at most mid-range restaurants - Below $30 for casual spots like ramen shops and cafés - Above $50 is rare, mostly for fine dining If you’re here for business but want to make the most of the city, this hotel puts you in a great spot.

It was a good stay, very friendly staff and the room was very clean. Great location with good amenities and ambience.

Perfect location as tram station right in front of door. Cozy room and good hygiene. Helpful staff

Overall experience was good. At first when I checked into a room, the room was full of hair everywhere. It was obvious the room had been not taken care of properly. In the bathroom by the soap tray, in the tea cup, and even on the bed.. So I requested for a change of room, and was led to a room next door that was furnished with slightly simple duvet, and missing a couch. Not the best start of the experience, but the breakfast next day and the gelato was awesome. The coffee options are great, the greek yogurt and coconut yogurt was to the point. Will come back to Le Meridien next time I am in Melbourne.

The hotel charged on my card AUS 24 saying that we have consumed 2 moon dog lager during our stay which we didn't.
