Stayed here for 3 nights in a suite on the 2nd floor. Even before we arrived I had a feeling things would be good. We were contacted about lift passes, restaurants etc, which the hotel booked and organised, so we picked passes up from reception, making life very easy. We arrived and the welcome was very warm, the decor is beautiful and we were able to get into our room early which was stunning. Beautiful soft furnishings, divine bed, coffee machine etc etc everything you would expect from a 5 star with the addition of fabulous turn down with fresh delights every morning and night. Breakfast was lovely, spa was a wonderful spot at the end of the day and roof top bar really special. The service was thing that sets this hotels apart. Everything was anticipated and they couldn’t do enough for you. Dropping us off at lifts, picking us up, taking skis back for us all provided without needing to ask. We had such a wonderful time, would highly recommend and we will be back.

An incredible stay in a beautiful location. The hotel is absolutely charming, well located for the town of Megeve and with a flexible on-demand shuttle service to the main ski lifts. Our room (a King Deluxe) was lovely and the breakfast restaurant and roof top bar first class Alpine hospitality. Whilst all these are wonderful, I don't usually write reviews, but my wife had a ski accident on this trip and I have never experienced staff that do so much to go above and beyond in helping guests. The support and service provided turned what could have been an awful memory into a trip we will savour for a long time. Thank you to all the Grand Hotel team with a big call out to Fabien.

The hotel is in a nice location in the city, most of the staff are friendly, but I don't think they met my expectations for a 5 star. They seemed unwilling to adapt in order to provide a good service, even after complaints were made. There was no luggage service. Dinner took a long time to be served. The shower pressure was low and it was very difficult to get to the right temperature, which would change constantly by itself. I felt bedbugs when I was trying to sleep.

We had a troubling visit at this hotel. While the staff are friendly, the hotel has limited organizational skills and struggles to deliver on the basics. The management team seems to be unengaged from the operations and unavailable to support staff. Definitely not a 5 star hotel, but still a decent spot in a good location.

It was our first stay in this hotel after we tried several other 5 star hotels in Megeve, and the Grand Hotel Soleil d'Or beats them all by far. We had booked the family suite which is a real apartment, beautifully decorated with balconies all around. The staff has been amazing during the the week, they made us feel at home and part of the family. The hotel is gorgeous with the renowned Chocolaterie on the 1st floor. Kudos to the whole staff and particularly Kylian at the bar, Thibault at the reception, Chantal at the Chocolaterie and of course Therese who masterfully manages the whole operation with full attention to details and a constant smile. There is no doubt that we will be back with our 3 kids. Thanks again for having made our stay in Megeve memorable.

What a gem and such a nice breath of fresh air mostly due to the wonderful people who work there. Beautiful boutique hotel well managed with the aim to please their customers at heart. There is a wonderful team of people from the front desk, concierge, kitchen, waiters, cleaners, drivers, Spa beauticians, all so very helpful and always smiling and eager to help in any situation. We have been treated like royalty from day 1 until the very last day. Thank you for suggesting and booking us in the most exquisite restaurants, to take us and pick us up to and from the slopes, to be so pleasant at breakfast with a lovely team to welcome us every morning. I also love the personal touch and the small presents left in the room almost every day from homemade succulent chocolates to scented ceramic and other hotel freebies. There is always water available in our room or ski room. The Spa is a little sanctuary and the ladies working there have magical hands. Everyone is so professional with a positive energy and attitude. It is pleasing to see and to be on the receiving end. Thank you all!

This hotel is fabulous, with the kindest most attentive staff who go out of their way to make everything special. They helped us with ski passes, finding an instructor, equipment, restaurant reservations - everything. The room was beautiful. The breakfast, communal areas, reception and chocolate cafe were wonderful. The spa is lovely. The rooftop bar is very pretty at sunset. We had a great week thanks to the hotel and staff.

We had lunch at this new restaurant set within a remodeled or new building of the strip in Megève. It is an attractive location offering a lovely terrace and luminous interior. The menu is original staying away from the traditional faire of cheese based recipes, a refreshing offer compared to its competitors. Unfortunately the kitchen is run by total amateurs, delivering late and lame food. I ordered a cesser salad and it was the worst I ever had, how do you screw up such a simple recipe?… They charge 12€ for a bottle of water and 6€ for a lousy side of fries. Amateurs for sure but greedy too. Stay away from this restaurant and do enjoy a glass of wine on the lovely terrace. I would advise potential
