This magnificent homestead is filled with family history, yet tastefully restored to blend the old with the new. It is the perfect place to stop on your way to or from the Kruger National Park for a few days to relax in the beautiful Mbombela/Nelspruit. You absolutely must include the dinner (the best meal I've had in ages - simple but perfect) and select a bottle of South African wine from the cellar. Hospitality superb.

Nature, calm, and cozy place near I’langa Mall. Perfect location and a beautiful home. The host and all the staff were very attentive and caring. Room No. 1 is very spacious, and the bathroom is the most beautiful I’ve seen. The scent of the shower gel is relaxing and therapeutic.

Torburnlea is truly a standout B&B in Nelspruit. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with genuine hospitality and impeccable attention to detail. Breakfast is a highlight: fresh, beautifully presented. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, Whether you’re just passing through or staying longer, Torburnlea offers a peaceful and luxurious experience that’s hard to beat. I wouldn’t hesitate to return!

A very pleasant surprise, much more pleasant and relaxing than a hotel. The homestead has a lot of charm, very clean and dinner & breakfast were exceptional. The front porch is great place to relax and enjoy talking w other guest (not too many).

We were blessed with one night's stay at this stunning heritage homestead (as by the gracious owner) - Torburnlea was one of the first houses in Mbombelo, and has a rich agricultural and societal history. Our one evening felt like a luxury, peace-inducing experience of a week and more. From the finest details such as perfumed handmade soap to freshly-brewed coffee with locally-made "beskuit" to a modern white-noise device on the bedside table for ambiance, this was an unforgettable experience. Grateful to family for living close-by and recommending this soulful majestic home established by the Hall-family. Thank you to Stanford for going the extra mile to make us feel so welcome with a cosy fire and excellent service throughout.

What a wonderful find! Having been game viewing for a while we needed somewhere to regroup before our flight home. Torburnlea is just far enough from Kruger to get to after a morning game drive and be able to refresh while also being near enough to JNB to make the drive to the airport fit for an evening flight. Very friendly staff and great food in immaculate surroundings makes this an addition to our must stay again list,

I had booked my Mother and I for her 60th Birthday, little did i know that we would have the most amazing stay. The attention to detail as soon as we stepped onto the premises, we were welcomed by staff who were friendly and professional. The owners Andrew and Kim were the most accommodating hosts we have ever encountered they even organised a memorial gift for my mother. I’m already planning my next visit.
