the worst. experience in decades of travellling. The hotel blatantly misrepresents itself in many ways. First, the is a huge building site behind it, with lots of noise and dust.Which room did he offer us? The room closest to the building site, of course! Total joke. Then the swimming pool is tiny and in shade. There are no loungers or chairs round it, despite *********** showing loungers and chairs.The manager couldn't explain that, simply saying they didn;t allow furniture near pool.This is blantant misrepresentation. The adjacent area was nest to the road, where the site lorries passed every few minutes, making extreme noise and throwing up dust. There is a pool across a road, but this only had deckchairs, no loungers.And you had to wear a swim cap! He said it was compulsory in Italy.This is a lie, as we've been to Italy 22 times and never had to wear a swim cap. Ca you imagine having to wer a cap that lots of strangers have worn before? We asked for a refund but were point blank refused.Luckily I have got all my money back via my card merchant. DO NOT EVER THINK OF STAYING HERE.IT'S TERRIBLE.

Let’s start with the good. Pool is absolutely stunning, although small it wasn’t busy at all during first week of September. Breakfast was great in the morning. Staff were so friendly. Location was great - just a short walk from main strip but far enough away it was quiet. The room itself was outdated, dirty and required some work. There was stains on the walls, the shower and sink didn’t drain properly so in the shower you were standing in dirty water. The bed was uncomfortable. The rooms are below reception/the pool so it feels like you’re in a dungeon. The room felt very dirty and outdated, which for the price, we were very disappointed in.

Where do I start… Firstly I’d like to say I didn’t even get to stay in the hotel. I had 2 flights cancelled back to back which meant my holiday was cancelled. I am aware this is not the hotels fault BUT they did NOTHING to help at all. No courtesy to offer a new date to come, no refund even after showing proof of the cancelled flights. No voucher to book at a different time. NOTHING! All they wanted to do is rip me off and take my money off me. The hotel wasn’t cheap either £1200 for 4 days, couldn’t even have the courtesy to apologise to me for the flights. Just took the money and told me to Do one! At least have the decency to give me a voucher for another time or reschedule the booking. They just took my money and called it “no show”. If I was able to get to the hotel I obviously would have gone. It was impossible to get there. If I could have taken a different form of transport I would have. After this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, customer service and unwillingness to help is enough to ruin a holiday before it has begun!! Stay away if you want to keep your money safe!!!

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Hotel Rivage…from the moment we arrived, the team were so friendly and welcoming! The room was perfect, with a gorgeous sea view. Everything was super clean and the cleaning staff are so lovely. When our flight home was cancelled, the team did everything they could to give us our room for another night/day. Huge thank you to everyone at the hotel and beach club, especially Gabrielle and Andrea who really looked after us. I would 100% recommend this hotel- we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
