Neuhaus Zillertal Resort

Excellent stay, no complaints, all was good, Spa,pool, meals exceptional. Both myself and partner enjoyed the week immensely. Staff were very helpful and kind. I did have a ski injury, broken shoulder, but partner and staff were brilliant.

My husband and I arrived on the 28th Dec having booked to stay at Hotels Neuhaus, Landhaus wing via Crystal Ski. We had stayed here before and were happy with the 3 star budget option. On arrival the hotel was obviously very busy and the family checking-in in front of us were with the Crystal rep who was telling them there had been a terrible mistake and there was no rooms for them. Something has gone very wrong for this hotel’s booking process and after further 45 mins of confusion with our room we were told we were to be ‘upgraded’ and moved to the St Josef, I have never been so disappointed with a hotel room ever. See photos, if this was an ‘upgrade’ I would have hated to see our original room. The shower was basically a tap with a hose attached, the bath and toilet were so badly stained the bath was just unusable. The sink ceramic was chipped and filled and there was an unsealed hole under the bath full of debris. I honestly think they ran out of rooms and put us in the staff quarters. We spoke to the housekeeper and she did not even know were our room was! I just find it strange that they can pay €30 million for a new beautiful Spa complex and they can replace bathrooms like this. We are still at the hotel, only 1 day to go, we have complained but hotel are not interested, they have our money and are almost aggressive argumentative when you tell them you don’t want there ‘upgrade’ just the original room we booked. Beware of booking one room and being offered and unwanted upgrade?

One of the best - if not THE BEST - hotel in Mayrhofen. Close to the trainstation and bus to Hintertux (40 min drive with the free skibus), walking distance to PenkenBahn, generally in the citycentre. Great food, spa and sauna + pool. Highly recommended in any weather conditions. Enjoy your stay!

Hotel is so lovely and the team are all so welcoming and friendly.. it was our anniversary and they put us in a lovely room overlooking the garden. There was building work going on but we were out all day walking so didn’t affect us much at all. The food was good perhaps some Austrian dishes would be good. We would recommend we had a lovely time

Stayed in the hotel for 1 week as a part of a ski holiday package deal. We stayed the St. Josef part which is an annex across from the main building. The hotel: The hotel is very nice overall. There is a mixture of very old and modern - most of it blends well together. The annex is linked to the main building via an unground passage. I think this is the area of the hotel that needs improvement - It is dark and a bit dreary. And one night I decided to head over to the main building for a late drink and a door was locked! So I had to go outside and cross a street to go to the bar! The location of the hotel is very good as its only about 10 minutes walk to the main ski lift. It is also beside the train station where you can go to other ski resorts in the valley or a trip to Innsbruck is very easy from there. The staff: All hard working and helpful. All had good English and I really liked the traditional Austrian type of attire worn by the female staff. I did have one not so pleasant experience with a waiter. It was my first morning, tired and got a coffee from the machine. I had picked the wrong cup and the coffee overflowed and as I lifted it out of the machine some drops spilled onto the tiled floor. The waiter came over and started to give out to me. Not the most pleasant start to my holiday. The room: Our room was nice - spacious and clean. Had two balconies which was nice for airing gear and enjoying the views. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and really decent shower. The room was well serviced every day. The facilities: The facilities in the hotel are good. There is a really nice bar and is a good area to lounge around relax and have a drink. There is a lovely tea room where they offer nice cakes from 2.00-4.30 every day. This is a really nice place to go to after a day on the slopes or touring. There's lots of things for children to do like ping pong, pool, bowling and a kids play room - this hotel is an excellent choice for families. The adult spa is okay but not brilliant for this level of hotel. There were also children down there - one group who went in on their own and another who were brought by their father. Entry needs to be better controlled imo - it shouldn't be up to the guests to tell the children it is an adults only area. I know there are currently constructing a new wing for a new spa area which I believe will be ready for Dec 2024. The food: The food is really good in the Neuhaus. Breakfast is really nice with lots to choose from and evening meals are very good quality and good options available every evening. Overall the Neuhaus is a very good hotel and well worth a visit. I stayed in the strass up the street and the two hotels are very similar in terms of quality. The Neuhaus probably shades it for me overall but the Strass has a much better wellness area. I would recommend the Neuhaus and I would go back myself.

I had a fantastic time. A long weekend snowboarding. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive. Great hotel, excellent food. Definitely will be recommending the hotel to friends. I will also be returning later on in the year or around January time for a longer winter break.
