Hotel St. Georg

Just returned from staying at this amazing family run hotel. We were a group of 24, a mixture of adults and children, and we had a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff, rooms were decorated to a high standard, comfortable bed and breakfast had a variety of foods to choose from. The gentleman who worked on the bar worked extremely hard to make sure we all had drinks and the lady who runs the breakfast was amazing, always checking we had enough food and coffee. The spa area was clean and the children really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Two of the families ate in the restaurant for dinner and said how nice the food was and was really good value for money. The main lady we spoke to on reception, I believe her name was Leisa was extremely helpful too. Over all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel .

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Two friends, for skiing in the area. The hotel was cosy, the staff super-friendly and helpful. The room - what a treat! Huge and fully equipped (except a refrigerator, but just put your stuff on the balcony, and it is just as good). The mattresses were great, perfect for an overworked and tired body after a day if ski. Two spa areas: 1. The general one, for families, with indoor heated swimming pool, sauna (with swimming clothes), and outdoors jacuzzi (not warm enough in my oppinion, but great nevertheless). 2. Adults-only saunas and relax area (“textile-free”): Quiet and relaxing spa area with several saunas and steam sauna, and a relaxing quiet room with infra red chairs and several relaxing beds. Breakfast - large variety in the nicely-decorated dining room. We didn’t have other meals, as we prefer to go out for dinners. The walk to the two nearby gondolas to the two ski areas from Mayrhofen (Pankenbahn and Ahornbahn) is not too long, but can get tiring with ski equipment and ski boots. A few minutes and you are there. A SPAT supermarket a few meters from the hotel, and easy access by car to the zillertal main road, taking you to the zillertal arena or the other ski areas in the valley (zillertal arena - very recommended!) Next time I go to mayrhofen, I will surely check availability in St Georg before I check anything else!

Hemos estado una semana alojados para esquiar en el Valle. Teníamos una habia habitación familiar estupenda, con un salón, un dormitorio con cama de matrimonio, otro con literas, la cama de abajo grande, y otra a la entrada que nosotros no necesitamos. Un vestidor muy bien distribuido. El desayuno era perfecto, yo creo que no le faltaba de nada, por lo menos para nosotros. La cena menú, con un plato principal a elegir entre tres. Quizá ha sido lo que menos me ha gustado, la cena. Creo q es el único “pero” que puedo poner. Tiene un guarda esquí con calienta botas muy cómodo. La situación: no está céntrico, es un paseo, un paseo muy agradable con zapatillas o botas apresqui, pero con esquís y andando con botas…. Hay una parada de bus al lado del hotel que cogíamos todas las mañanas, pero la vuelta, si te retrasas un poco, a partir de las 17:30 ya no llegas en bus. Nosotros somos de esquiar todo el día y solo conseguimos llegar a tiempo uno. El resto, la vuelta la hicimos andando y 😰 con botas y esquís al hombro es duro. Aunque hubo algún día que llegamos a la estación de tren bastante tarde y cogimos taxi, una buena decisión. El hotel tiene un gimnasio muy completo, piscina climatizada y un jacuzzi exterior que si coincide, como en nuestro caso que está todo nevado, es una estampa preciosa. La gente que hay trabajando en el hotel es muy muy amable. Las vistas desde nuestra habitación: maravillosas, bucólicas. Con todo nevado y siendo Navidad no podíamos pedir más. Recomendaría este hotel sin dudarlo.
