Ryan's River Lodge B&B

10 days and n a camper van we were so tired, looking forward to our stay a special treat for my husbands 70th, we were not disappointed, a lovely welcome, the room was spotless overlooking the river, only downside would be the heavy early morning traffic to the sawmill but we are early birds anyway, the sound of the river flowing compensated this. Great place for fishing too. Martha our host is so nice very informative and helpful, the dining area is gorgeous and the breakfast so tasty. If ever you come to cong stay at least one night in this B&B you won't be disappointed, we stayed two nights so we could go for a drink and a rest, the bed is very comfortable, I have trouble with stairs but managed these ok a good handrail to hold on to. We had a bottle of champagne which Martha happily chilled in her fridge for our meal out at Pat Cohans. Great place would definitely recommend it.

We were contemplating staying here as a fishing trip but when we went to suss out the fishing we didn’t feel very welcome as a visitor in the area. They made it impossible to fish comfortably. Just a heads up fellow anglers . Tight lines and we will stay elsewhere.

My wife and I were visiting Cong especially for the link to the movie The Quiet Man. We stayed at the B&B for 2 nights. The room was very nice and comfortable. The price was also very reasonable. (Just a tad lower than at Ashford Castle.) The breakfast was excellent. The owners make you feel very welcome at the B&B. The location is very convenient to all the activities around Cong.
