Delphi Lodge

Had a fabulous stay in this beautiful lodge, really peaceful and gorgeous views all around! Philip and all the staff welcomed us from the beginning and really looked after us througout. The food and wine is exceptional and dining at the big table with other guests was a great experience, finished off nicely with a drink in the lounge by the fire. Delphi lodge is a really unique experience and highly recommended for a peaceful escape!

Fabulous country house. Great credit to the team who maintain the highest standards throughout. Warm welcome, very comfortably bedrooms, great food and drink in an exectional beautiful location. Dinner at the long table with other guests completes a wonderful 'country lodge' experience. Highly recommended.

Delphi Lodge is a gem in the stirring landscape of Connemara. From the moment Philip greeted us at the front door, we were made welcome and comfortable. The behind-the-scenes running of Delphi Lodge is surely smooth and faultless. For guest, everything works; everyone smiles; and the food and drinks are simply outstanding. Gathering for dinner in the evening around the long dining table was an experience to be savoured, as we compared convivial notes with other guests, drawn from near and far. (Geraldine took great care of us.) A pre-breakfast swim with new friends in the lough was bracing: a perfect preparation for a day exploring Connemara. We left determined to return. On a practical note, we felt that the sheer quality of the Delphi Lodge experience was excellent value for money.

This is Ireland, pure and simple. A warm greeting upon our arrival by Mary. No request was too small (and there were many). The Fishery and Estate Manager, David, a true gentleman, was helpful with all of our fishing needs and more. He has a great way with children and his two pups were great fun for them. The food was excellent (five stars). So fresh. All from local farms. We were a family of eight ranging from eight years old to 77. The staff took very good care of us. They made all of us feel so much at home. An almost two hundred years old lodge enhances this storybook location with a natural beauty beyond comparison. This is a bucket list location, believe me.

We loved our trip to Ireland, and the Delphi Lodge is at the top of our list for the most memorable time. The Lodge is so relaxing and charming. If you stay here, you must dine at the Lodge. It's an amazing dinner, and you connect with other travelers, which makes it even more incredible. We loved the honor bar. You pour yourself a drink or grab a cold beer and sign the book of what you selected, and it's added to your bill. It felt very relaxed and homey. I picked a winner booking this Hotel/Lodge. Do yourself a favor and stay here. It's amazing ❤️

For years I've wanted to stay at Delphi Lodge. Just over 30km from home, finally we booked a night away and I was not disappointed! Located within a beautiful lakeside and mountain range setting your breath it taken away as you approach the lodge that is nestled in a tree grove. As stated in their information booklet, the lodge is not a hotel, it's a country house. It is beautifully kept, comfortable, cosy and clean. Our room was large, overlooking the lake, with a big bathroom and the best shower (bath and shower combo) I've ever experienced. The reception rooms (library, drawing and dining) were welcoming, with beautiful views. To top this all off was the magnificent food and wonderful staff (a special shout out to Geraldine and Maura who looked after us well, engaged in great chats and made our stay even more enjoyable). We really enjoyed the shared dining experience with other guests, who were extremely interesting. While fishing is their speciality, you don't need to fish or be a fisherman/woman to enjoy this lodge. Great walks and other activities to do in the area. But equally, just chilling out on the premises is wonderful. It's a special place, one that I can image can be enjoyed all year round. Looking forward to our next trip.
