Jalsa Beach Hotel & Spa

Nice hotel with spacious rooms and comfy bed we did have a rat in our room one day. Rooms were next to each other which made family life easier. Food was good but can't make scrambled eggs! great that there was not too much food so people did not overeat or waste. Staff were lovely although we did pick up that they are unhappy obviously management aren't treating them right, as there was a sombre atmosphere. Rooms are lovely and clean. Overall a wonderful location we chose it because we wanted to relax and that we did however on Sat 29 Dec they started playing doff doff music ( for the 5 younger guests that were in the hotel) We could hear it in our room by the pool I called reception and asked for them to turn it down this was 9:30pm and 10:30 they had still not turned it down and so my husband called and they said it was almost finished. At 11;30pm I called again and I said its unfair that we have to endure this racket and they could easily turn it down and he put the phone down on me. I felt this was rude and uncalled for. It must decide to market itself as tranquil or cater for clubbers it can't do both!! The beach is very small and when we tried to venture around the corner the beaches were covered in plastic and other debris. The Spa facilities were good however the gym has about 6 machines and sauna and steam room out of action. they seem to mainly cater for French clientele and put on a magnificent spread for Christmas eve but nothing for Christmas day. They had pedalos and paddle-skis that you could use free of charge at high tide and the guy at the water sports was lovely. Mr Dhinesh and Minesha at the restaurant was friendly. The spa ladies were lovely. If you are going to leave tips give them directly to the staff as apparently if you leave it at reception they don't get it! Take lots of Rupees with you as the nearest ATM is in the Town. Good hotel could be 5 star if they were nicer to staff as there attitude to serve would reflect this.

Worst attitude of staff especially towards Indians .. we could see the discrimination upfront.. majority of the staff is rude and we were surprised to find such aweful people at a pleasant place.. We were a group of 35 indians who travelled and stayed in this hotel and were really surprised at their unwelcoming behaviour throughout to most of senior doctors travelling with us.. it spoiled our mood and enthusiasm of visit to such a beautiful place

I stayed here at Christmas and was apprehensive travelling so far on my own.I booked through tui. I need not have worried. I loved my stay here. Rooms: I had a room over the gardens near the restaurant 204. From the moment I walked in it felt special. Immaculately clean, tea and coffee making facilities, television, huge comfy bed, seating area, huge shower room with hot water constantly and nice pressure. The balcony had 2 comfy chairs and table where I spent time reading and relaxing. More than I expected for a 3 star hotel and serviced beautifully by the amazing cleaning staff. Reception; Really friendly and helpful. The staff couldn't do enough to help. Lovely. The Location: Out of this world. Plenty of sunbeds either around the pool or looking out over the stunning lagoon.Free selection of water sports from the boat house. Absolutely stunning Free towels.Bar plenty of choice on the all inclusive all served by amazing friendly staff. Restaraunt Food selection was lovely and the staff go above and beyond. Food very tasty and kept to a high standard by an on looking staff member whom helped.In Christmas eve the rooms were decorated beautifully. I even tried exotic foods.Lovely experience. I made friends and never felt alone.All in all one if the best 3 star hotels I've ever stayed in. I've booked to stay here again I've fallen in love.🥰

My family and I have stayed at the Jalsa Beach Hotel and were amazed by the friendliness and professionalism of its employees from the General Manager mr Sanjay, the F&B Manager mr Rajen, mr Dhinesh the restaurant waiter, mrs Shreshna and miss Vinisha at the bar & restaurant, mr Rakesh the Chef, miss Dvanne the receptionist, just to name a few. We were so happy to spend Christmas at this beautiful hotel with marvelous staff.

Definitely the place I want to return to again and again. From the moment we walk in the door to the time we walk out we are made to feel special. Every member of staff are so friendly and helpful and you just know it’s genuine, special mention to Manisha, Vanisha and the all the catering team. Even the man in charge made a point to greet us whenever he saw us and the birthday surprise they laid on was brilliant. The food this year was even better and we loved it last year. The bed is huge and so very comfortable, absolutely love the showers here and the room is always clean, special mention here to Roshan who especially made sure our stay was special. It’s in a quiet area so very relaxing which I love, so if you want busy nightlife and banging music go elsewhere, come here if you want a chilled personal experience The views are amazing and the pool is great, unfortunately a cyclone kicked up the water so this year the snorkeling wasn’t too good, last year it was excellent Ignore the negative comments you may read as they want 5 star experience while paying 3 star prices

We stayed here in oct 2024 and to begin with wasn't impressed but as time went on we started to enjoy our stay, very friendly staff pool area nice size but you do need to go down early to get sunbeds around the pool, nice but stoney beach area with beautiful turquoise water and mountain scenery, food was great not everyday but the staff have tried thier best and it shows, clean room everyday with daily fresh towels( cleaning staff excellent) restaurant clean and tidy with fresh water on the tables, beware that stray dogs venture onto the hotel grounds staff do there best to remove them plus we experienced a lot of howling and barking during the late hours, bus ride into town is very cheap, just wait outside the gates for the bus which is every 30 mins, overall a pleasant stay hotel needs some work done but nothing major, no amenities so you will need to travel for shops etc.
