Good hotel unless you own an iPhone.. I've been back for about a week now and I'd like to tell you how we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Let me start with the positives because there are definitely some! 1. The food is varied every day and there is something for everyone to choose from 2. What was really special is the attention to gluten-free options. Many hotels could really learn something from this! 3. Alba from Guest Relations knew our room number after 1 day when she approached us to ask what we wanted for gluten-free breakfast/dinner. She approached all guests for a chat or to answer questions. Really great! 4. All soft drinks from the machine were available in a sugar-free version, the first time I saw more choice than just coca cola in sugar-free. 5. The cottages on the grounds are much more spacious than an average hotel room, and have a small patio 6. The staff is equally friendly everywhere. The animation team in particular deserves to be mentioned! If you still get to work every morning in November with the same enthusiasm after a long and warm summer, that is really great. Special shout-out to Anthony! 7. If you ask for a taxi at the reception, it usually arrives when you are at the exit of the hotel! Really well organised… 8. a final plus was the fact that this was the first hotel where I noticed that they actively tried to stop towelling before opening pool area was opened What was less… 1. In a 4-star hotel you expect that they are able to cook a hamburger in a pool restaurant, twice we had a burger that was not only completely raw on the inside but even cold. 2. In contrast to the previous, all the meat that was prepared “live” in the main restaurant was so terrible that it fell into the category “extra well done” 3. The larva that my son found in his scrambled eggs was really well solved but should not have happened 4. On the day of departure we were to be picked up at 12:00 and everything for lunch was already ready in the pool restaurant. When I asked if I could grab a sandwich before the opening because we were leaving (which was already completely prepared under plastic) I was told a “no”… missed opportunity These were the minor drawbacks and you could live with them. What is a real dealbreaker that will not make me go back to this hotel until they have solved this are the magnetic card passes for access to your cottage. I think I had to go back to the reception at least once every day because the pass no longer worked! It turns out that the new iPhones have a built-in magnet and these cards cannot withstand that, so hold the card near your iPhone and you can have it read in again. Under normal circumstances annoying/inconvenient, but if you want to go back to your room due to a bleeding stoma to take care of it and then discover that your card does not work… and so you have to go back to the reception… not a good feeling For me that is really a dealbreaker !!! In short, would I go back to this hotel again? not as
