Daman was earlier called by the name of Damao. The Portuguese ruled Daman for a long, long time. Daman and Diu, was a part of Goa. From the 8th to 13th century there was a stronghold of the Chowda Rajputs who were threw out by the Waghalas who in turn were barred by Muslims in1330. It continued under Muslims rule for another two hundred years when the Portuguese conquered it. , The Portuguese ruled Goa for 451 years (1510-1961). Albuquerque entrenched himself in the Island of Tiswadi in1510. His successors had unbroken sway over this lovely territory for four and a half centuries despite mounting resentment and opposition to the alien rule from the people within and outside the territory. City Central located near the bus stand, If you visit as a couple or family it's the Best hotel. Clean room and co-operative staff. value for money.

The service at marina was very nice, the room was neat and tidy, food and drinks were excellent, location was awesome for a regular walk to black sand daman beach. Even naini daman alley which is getting renovated is in front of the hotel making it a nice place for all tourists. All the staff were very cooperative and helpful. Highly recommend for couples as well as for family with kids.

It is a very old building, converted to a hotel. Rooms were decently maintained, but the bed mattress was so bad. It was so thin, we almost sleep on wood and it gave me a back pain. Not worth the price.

The hotel rooms are best, even room service are very good also they provide t. V, wi-fi, good food & excellent old village ambiance. They have good parking space & the seabeach is near the hotel. Their room price is affordable for any middle class person.

We booked two rooms. The one on the ground floor was clean and had a nice washroom. The one on rh first floor could have been better. The washroom though it was clean did not do justice to the entire property. Odd odour and the washroom doors could have been maintained well. The overall experience was good.

The stay was amazing, the hotel was comfortable near all the landmarks, the service was good and most importantly it was hygienic, they have a restaurant downstairs, i booked a triple and a double sharing room. In short it was nice, cozy and comfortable.

Location was good. Roads in bad condition, food was quite good, amenities and services upto the mark.
