Pieve Del Castello

10/10 would recommend Pieve del Castello to anyone traveling through Italy. We had an amazing stay while in town for a destination wedding - the property was incredible, the food was absolutely delicious and we were so comfortable during our stay. That was largely in part due to the owners - their hospitality was unmatched and they made our group feel right at home.

Our niece selected a spectacular venue for her destination wedding. It was easily the most awe inspiring of all the locations my wife and I visited during our 20 day vacation; largely due to the amazing hospitality of the owners, Dario and Armine, who went out of their way to satisfy every guest request – from sending a staff member to pick up a couple at the train station when local taxis were unavailable to hosting a delectable family style dinner for over a dozen guests on very short notice. Most of the food is locally sourced from nearby farms and prepared by a staff of talented chefs. Every meal was delicious.

Our wedding in Italy exceeded all expectations, and calling it a 12 out of 10 still feels like an understatement. The owners provided us with 5-star service, a stunning property, a dedicated 5-star staff, and breathtaking views. They treated us and our guests with exceptional care, going above and beyond in every way possible. If you're considering getting married elsewhere, think again—this is the perfect spot, and it will not disappoint.

Wonderful stay. We stayed here at the end of a four-week trip in Italy. It was quiet and comfortable. Our host spoke English and was very nice and helpful. The room was quiet and comfortable. The balcony and view were an extra plus. We would definitely return. Also, this is our second visit to the Puglia area and Deruta. We love the area!!

I recently got married in Umbria, and during our planning process we wanted some great and affordable accommodation for guests who could not stay at our venue. we found Pieve Del Castello online and decided to pay a visit on one of our planning trips and found it to be exactly what we needed- and more! we worked closely with Dario (who is so patient with all the logistics and changes to arrival times and dates!) and ended up having more guests stay there than we planned as they were so kind and responsive! we had a number of guests in the Farmhouse and in the new small lodges and ALL of our guests raved about the place! it was tranquil and private but with 2 pools, amazing staff who could not do enough for them and all the facilities they could need. for 2 days after our wedding we actually decided to stay ourselves with our Bernese Mountain dog in one of the lodges and it was the perfect calm few days we needed after our wedding. Breakfast was also fantastic, more on the sweet side as is often typical in Umbria but the cakes and things were fresh, tasty and there were plenty of options. They also had excellent coffee! they do have an onsite restaurant and we would love to try it in the future too. My husband and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone visiting Umbria- it is beautiful and in a good location but it is Dario and family that made it truly magical. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality!

I stayed for a week at Pieve del Castello, and it is really a great place that I would gladly go back to. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There is also a very nice garden with a swimming pool so it is not only a great place to stay if you want to visit the beautiful Umbria region, but also if you just want to rest and chill by the swimming pool on a sunny day. We also had a very enjoyable dinner organized in their restaurant for a large group and were served an excellent selection of local hams, cheeses, and other Italian specialties. Most importantly, the people who run the place are very nice. The manager Dario was super friendly and helpful throughout the whole vacation. Altogether, I can only highly recommend Pieve del Castello!
