An impressive resort, set in beautiful grounds. The interior decor is a tasteful blend of traditional and contemporary. The main swimming pool is vast, and there is a separate smaller one for children and games. Pool attendants were helpful and friendly. Rooms are very spacious, grand and clean. House Keeping was very good. We were first given a room with a view onto a flat roof of air conditioning units and pipes, but the hotel changed our room the next morning to one with a nice view of the pool gardens and there was no issue. But, they should know better than to offer rooms with views like that. The minibar in the room is excessively expensive; £4 for a can of Coca Cola, and also includes charging over £3 for a sachet of coffee! The bathrooms are very clean and well appointed. The sealant around the bath could do with a refresh. The main restaurant is very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection. Dinner was also very good, but on the expensive side if you are not all inclusive. Service is swift and attentive. Room service works out at better price than the main restaurant, but the options are limited. However, they are very efficient and pleasant. The Pool Bar is expensive for drinks and food, and is of very mediocre quality. The service was slow and disorganised. Some Reception staff were very helpful, others were aloof and frosty. The Concierge; 'Sherif', is the 'jewel-in-the-crown'. He was brilliant in helping to organise our trips and give advice. He is a true professional and a significant part of the experience of this hotel. Overall a very good holiday. We would return.
