Riad Ghali Hotel & Spa

My family, fiancé, and I stayed at the Riad from 23/12 -0 3/01, on arrival Monir the night manager was working. Monir was just fantastic for our entire trip, a fountain of knowledge, and devout professional and a really genuinely kind hearted person! He knew everything we asked, or was able to direct us accordingly! Monir ought to be promoted, given a pay rise, he is brilliant, and would thrive working at any London based hotel! Monir was great my older mother, and younger nieces, he speaks 3 languages (impressive)! I must mention Hasna, Kadija and Ouigden, the breakfast and hotel staff, who were exceptional, all request were carried out and nothing was too much! The hotel is based in the city centre, but on a quite street, the breakfast is plentiful and filling, the hotel is clean has beautiful roof top for relaxing. I would highly recommend Riad Ghlia & Spa due to Monir, he made our family holiday exceptional, smiled everyday, and was always happy to help! He says 'don't say thank you' Our holiday would not have been what it what without Monir, the Riad would not be what it is without Monir, he is a huge asset, we will return due to the experience we had because of Monir! This Riad has a very good location and feels authentic Moroccan. But it has a lot to work with. Our room was on ground floor and we didn’t feel any privacy at all. You could hear exactly everything from the other side of the door and we had to have the window shades closed as anyone could see right in. There were handymen working outside during the whole days making noise, dust and dirt. Beds in room small and not comfortable but clean/fresh bed linen and towels. The riad looks nice on the pictures but reality was something else. The different rooftops and terraces felt dirty and not taken care of. Poop from animals/cats and used drink glasses and cans. Breakfast was traditionally Moroccan and very simple. Staff was very different, some polite and some with a bad attitude. The only time I felt they were helpful to my questions was when they had the potential to sell something.
