Les Borjs de La Kasbah

Beautiful welcoming hotel located in kasbah of Marrakech, about 20 minute stroll to main square of city. Hamza on reception gave us map and explained how to get to town, where to change money and location of restaurants etc On arrival we were given mint tea and pastries, before a tour of hôtel and then our room by friendly Hamza. Our room overlooked the main courtyard, it was well appointed and a good size, with a seating area, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, a buffet with good selection, freshly made omelettes of your choice and a warm welcome from Tom, Nora and all their team. The pool area is very tranquil and pool was heated which was a nice surprise, there is a button on wall to summon bar staff if you want drinks or snacks. We ate in hotel one night, having typical Moroccan Tagine, there was a good selection and meal was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, its a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, with such friendly staff.

I spent a week in Marrakech this October and was lucky to stay in the wonderful Les Borjs de la Kasbah. We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed and served the traditional mint tea and pastries. Les Borjs is an oasis of calm and tranquillity and all the senses are happy: from the sound of the little fountain and birdsong (some very boisterous little finches brought a smile to everyone's face), to the fragrance of the orange blossom and rose permeating the air. Everywhere I looked I saw something beautiful: the hotel was so well thought out, particularly the rooms which were beautiful and exceptionally clean. I have to mention the beautiful library – this was by far my favourite room, Food was also fantastic and I regret I didn’t take advantage of the cooking course run by hotel chef! But most of all, my stay was made exceptionally pleasant by wonderful people: Nora and Tom are such warm and welcoming hosts and the staff are just amazing: attentive and really helpful, especially advising us on the trips and activities which the hotel organises brilliantly. This was my first visit to Marrakech, but definitely not last, and I will definitely be returning to this special hotel.

Stayed here with a friend 27-31 Jan. Cannot fault a single thing about our stay. Property is beautiful, food delicious and the staff are wonderful. We had a hammam which was an amazing experience. The Riad is a little bit away from the main square but it's an easy walk to get there and a bonus to be away from the madness at the end of day. I would totally recommend a stay here and if I return to Marrakech I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The hotel had a lovely intimate feel to it. It was a calm and relaxing atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. This was largely due to the staff. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. Thank you Hamza in particular but all the staff were fantastic. The rooms were spacious, like a suite;very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful thick white fluffy towels, bath robes, seating, T.V, safe hairdryer etc. There is a bar at the hotel with premium branded alcohol. The restaurant serves delicious food with a comprehensive menu and very reasonable. Probably our best meal. We used the Spa, again wonderful staff and very reasonable pricing. There is a heated pool. All in all I felt the hotel was very well priced for what it provided which for me was a relaxing break - it felt like the staff really cared and I liked the atmosphere. My overriding experience of Morocco is the people, the perfume and the petrol. The people were welcoming, orange blossom scent will always remind me of Marrakesh and on the flip side so will the petrol pollution of all the bikes zipping everywhere and having to doge them.

This place is beautifully appointed, the staff are lovely, and the owner/manager is fantastic. The New Years Eve party was legendary. The desire to please and staffs attention to detail was exceptional. This is a great oasis of calm in the muddle of Marrakech.

Was great stay in this amazing place, everyone who’s working there are extremely nice and friendly, even we met the owners such a lovely and humble people. The design and the details inside are wow. Walking distance to all the places in Marrakech. Highly recommended.
