Massive rooms , right next to market , staff friendly and helpful big swimming pool , bar on site , found hotel to have no atmosphere super quiet only seen us 2 and 2 guests whole time ,

There were several female receptionists, but they were busy on the phone and chatting and did not respond to guests. On the other hand, the male staff were very accommodating. I am grateful to the person who gave me mint tea and the doorman. Mysterious phone calls were made to the room many times. However, when we requested bath towels, no one showed up. They did nothing to solve the problem, and it was a waste of time to wait.

During our stay at this hotel, we encountered an extremely disappointing service experience. In the evening, we discovered that the bathroom had no hot water, and the water quality was extremely dirty. We immediately reported the issue to the front desk, and they assured us it would be resolved within 30 minutes. However, two hours later, the problem remained unresolved.
The front desk then arranged for us to change rooms three times, but the same issues persisted in every room. What was particularly frustrating was that each time we were told it was the “last available room,” yet they continued to offer us more rooms. This repeated dishonesty and evasive behavior from the front desk were unacceptable.
Unable to tolerate the hotel’s poor service and facility issues, we decided to leave and switch to another hotel that very night. This experience left us deeply disappointed with the hotel’s service and integrity.

Being a 5* hotel, it had facilities and ambiance but lacked in certain things. The room didn’t have any coffee or tea making facilities. The bathroom was run down and required touch up. Breakfast arrangement were weared! The hot breakfast such as eggs was cooked outside the main area in open, which was cold and one had to bring it inside! Room service lacked efficiency and had to call them few times to get things done.

One high point to note is the staff is super friendly. All very well English spoken, no communication issue.
Only one point to highlight - we can literally hear the next room conversation. In the morning I heard the next room’s phone alarm…
Overall is a very good hotel I would say. Would recommend.

The lobby and public spaces in this hotel are truly impressive. The rooms are big and clean, with clean sheets and a comfortable, firm bed. The rooms are not as impressive as the lobby, but they are big rooms with a standard layout and balcony.
The swimming pool is big and clean. Nice friendly staff.
The breakfast selection is great, the only niggle being that the coffee is instant coffee (quelle horreur).
Very convenient for the airport.
Top top: if you use the Google maps directions function, and are willing to walk a bit, it is really easy to get the public bus to/from the airport for the princely sum of 4 MAD each way.

The hotel location was just ok. Very big swimming pool and well maintained. Gym facilities was just basic. Breakfast spread was good. The only problem is the reception. Very rude and not friendly. I have waited for 30 minutes to get my room sorted. Never say sorry. Plus, there were No welcome drink. No introduction for the hotel and the facilities. Very bad hospitality. The furnitures were old. Pillow and bed were smelly. Wifi connection was bad too. What a “5 star”. Totally Not recommended!

Great location. But the hotel is not 5 star, the front lobby was fancy but the rest is not well maintained with my room having a broken door handle to the bathroom and the balcony. The telephones didn't work either. The shower water pressure came and went, and the temperature was going hot and cold. The statement of three restaurants is bold with only one being in operation when I was there, one was closed and the last didn't exist. I bought lunch from the restaurant one day and it cost £30!! for lamb skewers, French fries and chocolate mouse, which were poor quality and very disappointing.

I recommend this hotel for its services and rooms services plus a reasonable price.

I will start off with the positives
The hotel Royal Mirage is indeed quite a grand hotel, on first appearance of the lobby it is beautiful and really detailed.
I arrived early 12.30pm and check in wasn’t until 3pm, although Hoyem was lovely and said the room was ready and that We could check in early we were knackered so we really appreciated this.
A big shout out to Abdul Moneim who always greeted us with a smile and always asked how we were
The rooms are large in size quite generous and bigger than your standard hotel rooms
At breakfast the staff are quite friendly and will always greet you
There is a large swimming pool which is cleaned everyday
Jma-Al-fans is 15-20 mins from the hotel
Kutubiya mosque 15 min walk
Shops are within 5 minutes walk which was handy
There are many places within walking distant to eat, this was a really advantage given there was only one restaurant open in the hotel.
Reception is open 24 hours although the service provided is questionable.
The hamam and the massage was lovely
We were given the option to check out late given some of the issues that we had experienced
Despite our issues the majority of staff were apologetic
Now towards the things that were not so positive
When we arrived in the room there was no toilet paper, no shower guard, bathroom was dirty, no towels and no shampoo conditioner etc…
I called down to the receptionist as I appreciated we had checked in early so May have been a result of this, receptionist said she would send someone and sort things out, 4 hours after the call no one had come so we called again, again told someone would come but nobody, it resulted in us having to go down to reception, who then provided the basic toilet paper towels and shampoo
The fridge had no water and we were told this is not something the hotel provides complementary, there were no glasses, no kettle or any facilities to make a hot drink in the room. A suggestion to the hotel is that this should be included in every room as it is the basics.
We were not given a tour of the hotel or told about the facilities so we had to find out about these ourselves
Whenever we called reception we could not get an answer bar twice.
We were unhappy with the services so 3 days after the stay when I returned to my room with no towels no toilet paper and a blood stain on the sheets that had been changed and the bathroom left in a terrible state after having the shower guard put up I spoke to Sharif he apologised and promised to upgrade us into a room the next morning, this did not happen, when we spoke to the person on reception Maryam, she said that it was not possible as they had no other rooms available and asked us to be patient until the morning and would move us then. Quite frankly this was frustrating, the next morning came and we were not moved again!
Maryam told us the nearest place to exchange money was in Medina, this is not the true there is an exchange 5 mins from the hotel next to cafe exxbalt
we asked for an iron that took us going down 3 times to reception before we received it.
We asked if our luggage could be weighed, again took a couple of hours for our luggage to be weighed only to find that when we were at the airport the guy had weighed it wrong and we ended up paying for extra luggage when we never needed to. Despite us asking several times if he was sure of the weight and that we didn’t think that it was as heavy as he had said, he confirmed that he had checked twice.
The breakfast provided was the same every day, would help to have some more continental options
The restaurants were closed with only one open therefore limited options for food in the hotel
The hotel could do with updating the rooms as although looks quite grand on first appearance the majority of things are worn out.
Would I come back - probably not
Is it five star - not in my opinion I would say it was more 3-3.5 stars
