Riad d'Airain

Spent a week at this Riad and was made to feel welcome straight away Hakim and Bouchra were fantastic hosts we stayed in the Chocolate suite which was quirky tired in some places due to age but loved it! Gorgeous shampoo shower cream and body lotion and fresh towels most days . We ate in for 4 nights as the food was delicious! Hakim kept us topped up with plenty of red wine so we were more than happy breakfast was delicious and plentiful there were sunbeds to use with towels and sun hats and an amazing small chilled pool on the ground floor. Good location right inside Babdoukka gate ten min walk to the big square

Great Riad close to everything you need to see. Plenty of Moroccan charm in the decor, good sun terraces and a typical Riad plunge pool in the cool and calm inner patio. Hakim and Bouchra are two of the nicest kindest people you can meet. Nothing was too much trouble, we had some evening meals which were delicious. Stayed in the ginger suite Highly recommended

A great riad situated within the medina. We visited with our children aged 9 & 12 and stayed in the Chocolate suite which was perfect for us with a partition between the two sleeping areas. We arrived late at night and were welcomed with mint tea. Breakfast was plentiful and traditional and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The riad is traditional so has low lighting but that adds to the ambience. There are lovely sun beds with hats and towels on the roof terrace and it's a great place to relax after a busy day walking the souks. Water pressure is a bit on the low side but it's on old traditional building so understandable. Highly recommended!

Honestly, this Riad is a terrible and weird place to be there . - During check in, half the portion of the Road didn’t had electricity and it was a turn off for us. - The place which is shown big in photos is actually so small and the entrance lobby is dark and gloomy. - We requested the caretaker of the Riad to show us our room . He bluntly refused . On asking why he replied, first bring your luggage only then he will be able to check us in and show . My wife told that she is a claustrophobic and can’t live in dark and narrow room . It would be nice if she can see the room and decide . The caretaker couldn’t understand English and French but only Arabic . I requested that if we could talk to owner and he again refused . - My wife was so scared and immediately decided not to stay in this place where she felt unsafe and unfit to check in . I’m not sure about other comments of this Riad but we were disappointed and had not welcoming experience with this property. Moreover, looks like, this place is advertised very expensive to give a feeling of an expensive and great place but in fact just stay away from this place . We immediately decided that we can’t live in this place and cancelled the booking by loosing couple of hundred dollars . We reserved this place thru Booking, and explained them the whole story but unfortunately they didn’t help and said the money will only be refunded back only if the property owner cancels the reservation . I asked them what if we were not shown the room at the time of check in and had no co-operation from the property owner and caretaker ? They simply shrugged off the responsibility and refused to cancel. Please stay away from this Riad D’Airain and also Booking search site. We later eventually end up in finding another very good place in Medina area for half the price per night which was an awesome and better place to live without any loud speaker noises.

Un des Riad le plus chère du centre de Marrakech mais il vaut le coup. Le personnel est accueillant, a l’écoute, plein de bons conseils et savent s’adapter. Le petit déjeuner est bon, complet et change d’un jour à l’autre. L’emplacement est bien : proche des jardins majorelles et à 20 min à pieds de la place Jemma el Fna, de cette manière le secteur est moins touristique. Le secteur bénéficie de pleins de restaurants, marchés et est calme. Le Riad est magnifique et la chambre bénéficie d’un équipement complet (eau, serviette, gourmandise, produits beautés, chausson). Le lit est confortable, nous avons très bien dormi.

Le prix est trop élevé pour les services proposés. Je pouvais trouver la même chose pour beaucoup moins cher. Là prochaine fois je prendrai le temps de bien chercher avant de réserver. Là seule chose positive était l'accueil de Bouchra.
