Didn’t go well. Called and spoke to reservations and reserved a corner lake view suite room. Upon arrival were given room 604, which is a normal king room, not what we reserved. The 6th floor is also where the Crow’s Nest bar is. They had live music Friday night in the bar and they might as well have been playing in our room! So loud. Sleep wasn’t possible until they finished around 11:30pm. We had two nights booked, and I called the front desk to ask if there was music Saturday too. At first the reservation agent said she “didn’t believe” there was a band because the bar was reserved for a private party. I pressed a bit and she ultimately said there would be drinks and dancing, but no band. I asked if she thought a DJ might be there and she agreed that it sounded like that was the case. So, we cancelled our second night and went to the Hampton Inn. The Landmark knows full well that those 6th floor rooms are loud. I’m sure they get frequent complaints like ours. But they don’t offer those rooms at a discount, or give a warning, or offer anything to make up for the bad experience. We asked to speak with the General Manager upon checkout. Were told that they would call us. That was Saturday AM. I’m writing this Tuesday AM and no call. The Hampton Inn was great!
