It's alright, in fact, it could be a much better place. Breakfast was quite nice: fresh orange juice, bread, hot and cold food (be aware they were only doing sunny side eggs in the wintertime...), cereals, coffee and fruit. My major problem with this is the decision of allocating a ground floor flat to a lone-female, especially when the shower was visible from the outside (see attached image); really wrong choice (yes, I did ask to move, but they said they had nothing else, that was all that was available). Not all the employees on the Front of House desk were that good, some would just stare with a smile like you are being an inconvenience and others would not want to accept a room change. I also noticed it depended on who you were. I know of a tall, white, blond man getting the room swap I was asking for without any quibbles. The two blocks next to the internal parking have a noise issue as well. Every time anyone enters, the main door slams and it wakes everyone up (the other blocks by the road have a middle door to reduce those types of noises, which is great, so they should put them every where). Moreover, the whole complex is next to the A7, which is very noisy and you can sort of hear the roads inside the flats, in some more than others (as a light sleeper, i didn't have a good night sleep). Spacious apartments (some larger than others) but generally speaking needing a refurb (especially the bathrooms and the kitchen). The bed mattress was too soft and uncomfortable, whereas the pillow was just to my liking, firm and sturdy. The kitchen is nice, well resourced and they give you some washing liquid to use throughout your stay. The bathrooms stink! I let the water run on all taps but still stank, they used a nice odour-spray upon entering the room and when they cleaned the rooms (not every single day, not every other day either), but you can't mask such a smell all day long. The bathroom also has a condensation issue, I would shower at night and it was still wet in the morning (yes, I hear you say: 'open the windows'... but I don't want to in case bugs enter the flat). WiFi is patchy but you can make do. TVs have plenty of channels in several languages (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). A/C is available, one unit in the bedroom and one in the living room, but even if you put it on 30 degrees, it doesn't warm up the space... not sure why. The flats seem to be very cold in the winter, perhaps great for the summer though. If you are in the Pamplona block, on the top, you will have sunlight a lot of the time in the day, but other apartments across the complex would only get sunlight one or two hours a day (which is a shame for the winter but great for the summer). Gym is very small but it tends to be empty in the wintertime so it should be enough. I did not try the swimming pool because it was very cold this time of year. Ona have clearly stopped investing in this resort. We have visited here for many years and sadly the facilities are being allowed to deteriorate. The apartments are in desperate need of new bathrooms and kitchens as the current ones are over 30 years old. The plumbing system leaves many of the apartments with a stench of blocked drains. The TV system crashes on a daily basis. The buildings are no longer being painted or repaired regularly. Our flat had broken equipment, poor plumbing, beds with loose bases and a shortage of pots, pans and cutlery. This used to be a 5* resort...but not now.

Our stay was anything but relaxing due to the fact that our hotel room was entered ,a substantial amount of cash removed from my wife’s wallet and the wallet then replaced back in her handbag on the morning of the 4th of April 2025 arrived 3rd, the hotel have no record of anyone entering our room other then ourselves, but I know as I was in the room at approximately 11.50 out room door was opened and a voice said hello hello and when I answered hello our door was immediately closed, I went to the door believing it was possibly the maid , but on opening the door that person was gone, it was shortly after that my wife discovered her money missing, we immediately on discovering the theft went to reception to report the incident, the receptionist that we met said she would notify a manager, and later that afternoon when we went back to reception we were told they checked their key system and only had records of our keys opening the doors, but I am 100% sure it was opened at approximately 11.50. And I asked if our room was scheduled to be cleaned on that day and I was told No. Therefore their system only registers guests keys, or maybe there was something they did not want to say, we reported it to the police, and for the next 5 days that we were there not once did a manager or senior staff member contact us to hear our story, and they not once apologised or said sorry for what had happened. Therefore was another couple holidaying with us, other than that we would have checked out straight away and relocated to another hotel, it destroyed our stay and we even ended up barricading our room door at night in case it being entered, It was a very disappointed stay , We know we should not have left any valuables in the room, and normally we would not, I rated this hotel 3 stars as the breakfast was good and the indoor heated pool was nice, and the area around the outdoor pool was all good, It is just the bad experience we had and the way management handled the whole situation. And we will definitely not be back Timothy C

Ona Alanda is one of the best stays that we have had in our two decades vacationing. Agreeable staff. The hotel is surrounded by nature. Walking distance to the beach (aprox. 2 minutes) Good food. Close to restaurants, spas, supermarkets, beauty salons and shopping stores. Close to downtown Marbella by public transportation or by car. Easy access to transportation to downtown Malaga and other surrounding towns like Mijas or Fuengirola. About 25 minutes to AGP airport.

My husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon at Ona Alanda Club, and we are extremely satisfied with our stay. CHECK-IN: We stayed for 7 days in two separate periods. During our first check-in, we arrived around 2 am and were pleasantly surprised with a cold dinner in our refrigerator. For the second check-in, we arrived just 15 minutes before dinner time ended, and one of the receptionists literally ran to ensure the kitchen staff waited for us to serve ourselves before closing. Thank you to the receptionists: Antonio, Paco, and Jose. ROOMS: The apartment was spacious and the kitchen was equipped with a stove, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, and various utensils. Great shower and comfortable bed. FACILITIES: Three swimming pools, pool table, ping pong, sauna, and gym. BAR: A big thank you to the manager Miguel, who offered us champagne on our wedding day and was always checking if we needed anything. Don’t miss trying the Lollipop drink, specially made by him. ANIMATION TEAM: We had great moments with the animation team. We participated in various competitions and won a bottle of champagne, drinks, and a diploma for our enthusiasm. A big thank you to the girls: Marien and Pilar, you are amazing. We hope to return soon.
