Family Home Alpenhof

Probably the best family hotel we have ever stayed at! Peaceful setting, pretty and homely design with lots of wood, good sound insulation, nice and warm, modern, clean, super friendly staff, amazing and varied food with good choice of options for children, fantastic swimming pool suitable for babies and children and adults. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Nothing is difficult or a problem. A truely relaxing family holiday. I especially like how the children's spaces and activities are integrated with the activities that adults enjoy. So adults can enjoy a drink whilst the children roam freely around the play areas that are integrated in the downstairs bar and lounge area. There are also board games you can play together. Or join some of the fun family activities that the hotel provide. There is also childcare available so it's possible to go skiing or relax without the children for a bit, too. Each of our children (6, 4 and 1) and all the adults had an amazing holiday - we're already planning on when we can come back!!!

An outstanding family hotel. Relaxed but with high standards. We have been twice so far. The kids' club is very good (we have done the age 3+ one), the food is excellent, the pool is good, and the atmosphere in general is lovely. Our kids love the animals. Wonderful hiking for adults.

We first stayed at Alpenhof in February 2020 with our two children (then aged 3 and 7) and we have just returned from our second visit. We were really impressed by everything about the hotel - the downstairs has been designed with skill I have rarely seen before in a hotel - kids play spaces interface with the bar and afternoon tea area but in a way that doesn't disturb adults. The decor/finishes are very good quality and the hotel is impeccably maintained. Equally for the c. 40 bedrooms - contemporary, spacious, well-laid out. The indoor / outdoor pool has a great slide for kids and also a dedicated pool that 4-8 year olds will enjoy and a dedicated toddler paddling pool for the under 2s. in 2022 our kids were a bit too old to go to the kids club but our youngest very much enjoyed it in there in 2020. The food is good and varied and the staff are friendly. There's a good boot room with heating for your ski boots & a ski shuttle to the top lift station on demand (takes about 5 minutes and the driver comes when you call him between 08h30am and 16h00). There is a dedicated ski shuttle to take kids to their lessons. The hotel is ideally located for the Pobist beginner ski slope in Maranza (about 5 minutes walk up a very quiet road, or the bus will shuttle you there). There's a good selection of board games / other games for children to borrow from reception. If I had to find criticism it would be the hotel / bedrooms often felt too warm - despite having the heating off in the rooms we had to have the window open at night which means getting up to shut the window before the church bells start! I think perhaps more natural pillows / duvets (vs. synthetic) would really help in this regard. For the common area - make sure you have plenty of t-shirts / light clothes - the fires are often burning and it can feel very warm when the sun is shining. We love Alpenhof - the best family ski hotel / Familhotel we've visited so far (we tried Sonngastein in Bad Gastein but Alpenhof is much better). The only reason that we might not return for another ski season is that Maranza / Valles, whilst lovely and quiet is also quite a small ski area (about 50km of marked pistes) and so naturally after two years you will know all the slopes quite well and we may need to find a different resort simply for some new slopes. We would definitely consider coming to the area in the summer though.

Abbiamo soggiornato con i nostri figli di 10 e 6 anni e basterebbe raccontare delle loro lacrime quando siamo andati via. Una struttura dove i bambini sono al centro di tutti i servizi e le attenzioni! Miniclub enorme e ben organizzato con tante zone playground dislocate anche nelle sale bar/hall . Fantastiche le 3 piscine per accontentare ogni fascia di età. Hotel curatissimo, design di alto livello, meraviglioso! Stanze eleganti, ampie, pulite e attrezzate per i bambini con sterilizzatore, lucine notturne, spondine in legno, riduttore wc, alzatine. Vista mozzafiato sulle Dolomiti. Cibo ottimo e personale gentile, cordiale e disponibile. Torneremo sicuramente !

Hotel molto bello, arredato con gusto, accogliente e caldo. Stanze ampie e comode con un bel terrazzo ed una bellissima vista. Bella la Spa e la piscina, coperta e scoperta, apprezzata molto anche quella per bambini con i giochi. Ristorante ricercato, tutto molto buono. Personale cortese e ben preparato, servizio navetta eccellente. Unico consiglio, troppa fretta nello sparecchiare, la sensazione era sempre quella di avere i minuti contati. Comunque bravi.

Sempre bello tornare qui da ormai 3 anni!!! Personale sempre gentile, cordiale e disponibile! Ottimo cibo e servizi sempre top! Abbiamo soggiornato nella settimana di San Valentino e siamo stati "coccolati" con dolci attenzioni. WOW!!!
