Tulemar Resort

I visit Manual Antonio every year, and I always stay at Tulemar. Such an amazing destination that immerses you in the stunning beauty of nature as it should be. Breathtaking views of the ocean, from your very own treehouse, with monkeys and sloths on your balcony! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, making you feel like family. Fabio, from Tulemar's VIP Guest Services, went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Their on site restaurant ( Tule Cafe) is fantastic! All of the food is fresh and reasonably priced, I ate there for almost all of my meals. Hands down, my favorite destination, which is why I return again and again!

The absolute best resort in Costa Rica. From the private beach to the amazing wildlife all over the property, we loved our stay. The best part of our trip was our thoughtful, helpful, incredible personal concierge Javier G! He made the best restaurant recommendations, helped my husband celebrate his 50th bday and surprised my kids with brownies by the pool. We loved our stay and will be back!

What to say other than it was such an amazing vacation. Family of six, ages six to 60 and we all had a great time. We stayed at Tule Villa, a large property with a private pool. The views and wildlife were constant and unbelievably wonderful. The shuttle was convenient and needed as the property overall is very steep. Each of the shuttle drivers were so kind and went out of their way to point out wildlife for the kids. Miguel was our concierge and was always ready to help or answer questions. The food at Tule Cafe was consistently good. Victoria's not so much for us. I will comment that Tule Villa says handicap accessible and that true to get to the o e bedroom. But once inside there are a lot of steps to go anywhere else. That feature wasn't important to us, but may be for others. Also, be aware that it's about 2.5 to 3 hours drive from the airport. When planning our next visit we'll split up the travel to SJO and the travel to resort with an overnight at a hotel airport. Doing it all in one day was about 12 hours for us. The kids hung in there, but my 6 foot 5 husband's knees were screaming after a 4.5 hour flight and 3 hour shuttle van. But it was soooo worth it. One final note, GET THE CHEF SERVICE. We did two meals and it was well worth it. The breakfast that first day after arrival was just what we needed and the dinner we had was one of our best meals ever. Already planning for another visit to Tulemar Resort.

Staying at Tulemar resort is an experience in and of itself the minute you enter the property. The amount of wildlife you will see is jaw dropping and the landscape is stunning. I have traveled to many places and I have never experienced anything like this. My family of four stayed in a bungalow with one bedroom and two queen beds and it was sufficient. The minute you walk in the bungalow you have all windows in front of you to view the beautiful ocean and mountains. We had a deck that we used every day and night to look at all the wildlife including different types of monkeys, parrots, and birds. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shuttles are very fast and pick you up quickly to wherever you want to go. It is difficult to walk to the beach and back if you aren’t close because of the steep hilly roads. The food at Tule Cafe was excellent as was the surrounding areas for dining. The staff at Tulemar was very friendly and helpful. Our concierge Miguel was very helpful. The beach is rustic. I liked how they provide sand toys, boogie boards and kayaks. Only complaint is they were doing construction right behind the beach but other than that it was very nice. I only have two minor suggestions. In the bungalows they should have outlets in the middle of the beds to charge phones. I also didn’t like the pillows as they were too thick and hurt my neck sleeping on them. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to feel a part of the jungle, experience all the wildlife Costa Rica has to offer and to those that appreciate a concierge and spacious, unique bungalows and villas.

FIFTH TIME AT TULEMAR and it never disappoints. 5 star service all the way around. The food, the staff, the property and accommodations all amazing. Orlando was our concierge this trip and he was wonderful. He was always available when we needed anything and so very kind and hard working. Also a shout out to David at the beach who has become a true friend to us. And let’s not forget the Tule Cafe staff, all the shuttle drivers and sweet Laura at the front desk. Our family time is hard to come by these days and there is nowhere we’d all rather be together than Tulemar. Pura Vida.

The resort and the staff were wonderful! Jans was our personal concierge - he was super helpful and responsive - assisting us with requests, reservations and booking our excursions. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort was beautiful with a lot of wildlife we saw including monkeys, sloths and birds. We went to the family pool daily and the beach too. We went with our family of four (kids ages 11 & 13) and stayed in a premium villa. We ate almost every morning at Tulemar Cafe and went to the other resort restaurant Victoria’s twice. I would recommend both resort restaurants. Overall we had an awesome time at Tulemar and would highly recommend it!

What a stunning resort! There is wildlife and foliage in abundance on property. The private beach is beautiful with full service food, drink, and water sport equipment available. The pool by Tulecafe is set within a beautiful view of the ocean! We stayed in a two story home with breathtaking views and fantastic accommodations. A concierge is assigned who is a wealth of help and knowledge. Tulemar is in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, and small shops. I highly recommend staying at this one of a kind resort.

Awesome experiences! Very friendly knowledgeable staff! Recommend night tour and the Manuel Antonia tour with an amazing tour guide Oscar! Our concierge Orlando was also amazing, attentive and helpful! Highly recommend. Note- be sure to bring into extra cash for tipping and most taxis do not take credit cards! ✌️
