Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park

We stayed for a week in a self contained cabin and had the best time. The cabin was tastefully decorated, and the bed was super comfortable, as were the pillows. We loved the small deck and had breakfast outside every morning. The weather was perfect and I swam at the beach every day. Very quiet at night under huge skies full of stars.

We were fortunate to be allocated the front cabin which had the best view of the family cabins allowing our young kids to run around outside in the open grass. I'm guessing that this space is often filled with tents during the peak season. The cabin was clean and tidy although the fan on the third bunk and fan in the bathroom certainly need a cleaning. Luckily we only had two kids staying in the bunks so didn't need anyone to sleep on the very top bunk close to the incredibly dusty fan. Netflix was advertised in the cabin. However, we couldn't get it to work. We tried contacting the office although called just outside of the hours. No one checked in with us the next day to see if we still needed help connecting, so we were unable to enjoy this service.

Well kept, quiet campsite with friendly staff and great facilities, would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Great location with lots to do in terms of beaches and walks. One of the better holiday parks we have visited ................

Wonderful camping ground, with beautiful views. Excellent spotless facilities. Friendly and helpful owners. We were there out of season and it was relatively quiet with only a few other campers, but we enjoyed chatting to them at the kitchen area. There are lovely tables up there for eating at too.

Nice tidy grounds, fabulous waterfront position for camping, facilities were clean, price in February for a solo traveller was good (I wasn't charged for 2 people as has happened elsewhere 🤨) . Friendly receptionists too. I decided to stay an extra night 😁

The best ladies showers we've seen to date. My wife was very impressed. Beautiful water views and fun to watch the kids diving off the jetty. Wasn't great weather but didn't stop us from exlporing the area. All the facilities were really clean and tidy.
