This is a great ride and if you follow the ocean and the river around, it is very scenic going through the wetlands. You can continue around the Marina and into the northern beaches, the yacht and fishing clubs and Marina Quays and continue your ride right up to Golden Bay along the ocean front. Yes we even have wineries, you will pass one on your way from Perth into Mandurah and if you continue south along the Old Coast Road you will find several. Halls Head is just 20 minutes from Lake Clifton and the Stramadolites. You will also see lots of local wildlife if you are there in the later part of the day. A trip to Pinjarrah Bird Park or zoo is well worth a visit and you can see most of Australia's parrots and other variety of birds. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the Murray River which flows through the town. Nothing beats a long walk along a white sandy beach. Walk around and have a coffee or take a dip in the beautiful Indian Ocean. Bring your snorkle gear and watch the fish or maybe the dolphins or an occassional seal swim by. Wind surfing, surfing or body boarding are all available on the right days - depending on the wind and the wave.
