Mamma Ciccia

Great location by Lake Como and 100 metres from ferry stop. Nice easy walking by lake in a small area. Railway station just 10 minute walk. Room was fine, warm and comfy; wifi is poor in room, but good in downstairs office or cafe across the passage. Nice breakfast in the cafe and good service generally.

This was an unexpected surprise to be at this beautiful hotel for one night. We were staying in one of Mamma Ciccia's properties in Abbadia when our flight was cancelled so we booked in here. They were so so lovely they even picked us up and took us to the hotel. Amazing service all around. The room was in a converted convent with a lake view and little balcony that we loved. All very clean with a comfortable bed, little fridge and a kettle. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Lovely place to stay when visiting Lake Como! Close to other places for day trips and a really lovely hotel. Parking close by and easy to get to. Ferry port close for a day trip to Ballagio. We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was a lovely touch and perfect for what we needed

We stayed only 2 nights at Mamma Ciccia and it was in the off-season - but it was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful - and tolerant of our poor Italian skills! We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and clean. My only feedback is that they should have a kettle and provide some plastic children's plates and cups etc. The location is perfect - right in the middle of town. I'm sure in the Summer it's quite a vibrant area. It's a short walk to the carpark, which is manageable if you drop your bags first. The breakfast was a deliciously simple Italian buffet. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one night, which was very pleasant and the food was good. Feraccio was a very attentive waiter and very helpful with drink recommendations!

un bel posticino. Super gentili e accoglienti... eravamo in sei, abbiamo pranzato fuori e ogni piatto era ben preparato (prezzi davvero modici). Si vede anche uno scorcio di lago. Trovato per caso è stata una bella scoperta, torneremo sicuramente.

Ristorante delizioso, immerso nella quiete del borgo. Piatti anche tipici, deliziosi. Ho pranzato in famiglia e assaggiato il tagliere di salumi e formaggi, gli spaghetti trafilto al bronzo cacio e pepe e la torta Meascia, semplicemente strepitosa.
