Mesa Verde Motel

Stayed here for the first time during burro fest at the recommendation of our friends who have stayed several time and were there as well for the weekend. Met and talked with the owners several times and they are great people with great stories and they care about their property. We stayed at several similar motels during our recent Southern Colorado trip and hands down this was the best. Rooms were very clean and the owners pretty much thought of everything one would need for a good night’s stay. Appreciated the clipboard in the room with information for your stay and questions to any answers one may have. Excellent job updating everything including the outlets to include USB A & C plugs. Great to have liquid hand soap stations for washing hands in the bathroom. My only complaint, and I did not get to inform the owners of, was our shower pressure. We stayed in the “Hey” room and noticed the writing on the wall in the shower stated “High Pressure Situation”. Unfortunately, our shower pressure wasn’t as good as hoped based on the slogan. Great having the M bar and Coffee lounge on site. Made it very nice to relax and unwind at the motel and not have to drive if you were tired of driving like we were. Staff was great on the whole property which made the stay even better. Will definitely stay again in the future if they have vacancy and recommend to others.

The bedding, mattress, and unique decor of Room 13 made this our favorite place to stay so far on our trip, out of 3. We didn't experience the coffee/bar, and that might have brought it to a 5, but there was no time. It was surprising, very dark, and fun with the variety of colored lights.

We stayed here about 8 years ago and it was OK. New owners have taken over and the difference is night & day. The rooms are comfortable & cleverly decorated. The best addition is the Coffee/Happy Hour Bar. It's right on the property. Fresh coffee & breakfast sandwiches and drinks & snacks abound. It's worth the stay here.
